Alison made the fashion thread when she was playing better and getting more media exposure. Lower ranked players generally get the very early and very late tee times, and miss cuts. The photographers are out in the prime hours.

They got lucky with the weather today. There were thunderstorms in the area, but they moved south of the course. A light rain fell in the morning, and it looked like some heavier stuff might hit in the afternoon, but it missed. It's sunny right now, and hopefully they'll have good weather tomorrow.

Phil called Suzann Petersen on the night of the Solheim incident. Which might have prompted her to sent out her lengthy apology.

 

Maybe Suzann should do the same tonight.

Don't usually pay attention to people's money but this year the Jutanugarns are really raking it in. #1 and 3 on the list.

Great win by So Yeon. By the 15th hole yesterday it looked like she was out of it, but those 3 birdies on 16, 17, and 18 put her back in the thick of it. 'Very nice front nine today, but her bogie on the 11th looked like it was going to derail her hopes. However, a nice bounce back on 12, a strong final few holes, a few stumbles by the others let her cruise in.

 

'Nice round by Lydia, but that 3 putt bogie on the 15th was costly. She only birdied two of the five par 5's today, which has been her Achilles all season. It's great to see her contending again.

 

I was surprised to see Anna head backwards early in her round. However, she never quit. The double on 17 sealed her fate, though.

 

Nice finish by Jacqui and Aza. Lexi had a fantastic run, too.

 

I'm not sure what they did to Ariya's back, but it sure seemed to help. Lol.

 

Hee Young had a lackluster third round, but turned it up a notch today. One of her better finishes of the year.

I say Alison's still injured....she doesn't look like she has a lot of driver club head speed vs. a few years ago...just look at some stats...yup 150th in driving distance.

What a shame.....she could have been an LPGA 'it' pro if she could win a lot.

 

I don't see Vicky's mom on her bag...I think her mom can be quite tough on Vicky from what I have seen and from what others have told me.

In 2016....I saw Vicky walk off the range in frustration...leaving mom and some old guy just hanging there.

Congrats to SYR on the win and her donating some money to Simply Giving...as per her post rd interview.

It's really shocking that as a LPGA member from 2012 to current (7 years) that SYR has only won 5 times.

 

They showed SYR's mom so many times today....maybe SYR will be dedicating this Father's Day win to her mom....I wonder if her relationship with dad is strained.

The food & beverage tent (Grand Taste) looked really good.....all you can't eat and drink for $35....but the tickets were sold out fast.

Even with all you can drink .....on the LPGA tour..... we don't hear any of the CLOWN's like at Shinnecock over the past 4 days...those idiot fans are tools.

 

I've been to my fair share of LPGA events....I really don't think they need marshals....I think the LPGA spectators could self police any issues if they should very rarely present themselves.
