Mevo - Worth it?

Let's not give the company any ideas! $500 is perfect price point; even with sidespin. I will give it another try at $500, but Mevo 2 at $800...no thanks.

I got rid of mine pretty fast as I found it not all that accurate and it takes too long to calibrate and get it going. The portability was cool, but the little flip out paperclip strength stand was not all that helpful; useless on grass. I would love to use this on the course, mostly for fun when it is not busy and set others in the foursome straight on the reality of their shot metrics, but it has to setup faster.

I will be on the lookout for V2.

So what you want is a unit with more capability then the (now discontinued) Xi - which retailed for $2500 5 years ago - with the price tag of the Mevo. Also when the nearest competitor is also around $2k.

Yes it would be nice - but I wouldn't hold your breath. I think we'd be extremely lucky if it was less than $1500 for sim compatibility - and I'd guess that sim use doesn't even include short game (chipping and putting) - only full swing.

I think you're right on. My guess is M2 will come with a driving range / combine app at $1500. Sim course license with auto-putt extra...

Yeah, if it will basically function like a more capable skytrak, expect it to be priced in a similar ball park.

If I was a betting man, I'd put money down on a $2k ball park release price based on what little we know now. But it would be nice to see a more detailed description and specs before really coming to any conclusions.
