True Temper XP 115 vs KBS Tour V....any comparisons?

Just want to know if anyone has compared these two shafts head to head? Any feedback would be much appreciated.

I haven't tried the XP 115 but have with the XP 95's. I felt that the XP's launched and flew high to my taste. Also didn't care for the feel.

I have a set of 716 AP2's with Tour V-S that I gamed for a while. The Tour V is still a stout shaft despite being lighter weight. It gave good consistency overall. I came from C Taper Lites in stiff and saw a higher flight with a bit more spin with the Tour V. The ball would be backing up on the green quite often. I felt like I had to put a very good swing to load the shafts.

However I put my MP 5's with the C Taper Lites back in the bag. However I kept my wedges which are SM7's in Tour V.

I still play the dynalite gold xp, which is almost the same as the XP115. (weight is the same and steps are the same except for the spot for the label) Works well for me. Launches high but straight. Isn't overpowered easily.

I tried to like the KBS tour, but it didn't take. Seemed a little loose.

This is exactly what I found with the XP 115. High but straight. I thought it felt quite nice as well.

Sorry in advance for the thread jack but I'm REALLY disappointed True Temper canceled the XP115, was the best shaft since the DynaLite Gold for the average golfer. 10g lighter than dynamic gold but with a little help to get the ball in the air. The XP 115 and DynaLite Gold were more mid launch vs. high. Both were far from high launch/high spin.

There's now a big void in the TT lineup in this area. Dynamic Gold 120 launches significantly lower, AMT Black is much weaker and that leaves nothing really for the XP 115/Dynalite Gold player to move into. What I haven't and might try is a Dynamic Gold 120 soft-stepped. That could get close...maybe...Always felt KBS tours soft-stepped were also similar but can't stand the KBS tour counter-balance deal...

Please TT bring back the XP 115! You created the XP 100...Let's get one more a little heavier...

I played the Xp115’s all last year and absolutely loved them in my Ap1’s I had. This year I moved to the Cobra Forged Tec Black with the KBS $ Taper in R+ (same weight as the Xp115’s, actually 2g less). The ball flight is ever so slightly lower than the XP’s, but I’m having great success with them as well. It is a shame that TT did away with the 115’s as they are a great shaft.
