I’ve hit the blade, played xforged all year. Xforged are excellent irons , more forgiving than they look, launch high and feel fantastic, but l can’t say they are more forgiving or better.

Now for some unsolicited info: I’d try the 919 tours if you are considering the xforged. I think they are very similar in performance and forgiveness, but beet them on feel. Full disclosure- I’m a bit of a Mizuno lover

I play the X Forged, they are very easy to play, good turf interaction, great performers. The only thing I can tell you about the pings is that they are cast, thats a no go for me. Played forged for better than 40

plus years. Mizuno, Hogan, etc...

Lots of info on these boards about both. But, you should try them both, either will be a good

set .

i was eager to try the new 919 series, but just couldn't get along with them. Tried all different shaft weights with no luck. I actually liked the i500's better. But then I hit the x-forged and was amazed. It's surprisingly forgiving and feels great. Went to PGASS 3 different times to hit them with a bunch of different shafts. Awesome clubs!!!

I would 100% agree with you on the 919 tours. Like the look much better than the Iblade and xforged and they felt fantastic even on slight miss hits

Where I see Mizuno and Callaway differ is in top line width and clubhead length. Mizuno usually a little wider in top line and Callaway longer in club head. Personally, the longer club head suits my eye better and gave me more confidence over the ball. I'm moving on from my 716 CB's to these X-Forged, but may hold out until Ping drops their new blade. If those don't hold up, X Forged it is. Absolutely love that club.

They really are great sticks( xforged). So much so, after an awful 2 months of iron play, I’m debating going back.
