The ladies from the 70's and 80's would have played through a Typhoon, with a Marlboro hanging form their mouth, just sayin' (cool)

The weather is actually better today than it was yesterday. Granted it was windy with some rain this morning tell about 1pm but since then there's been no wind, no rain and a balmy 77 degrees pretty much all afternoon tell 6pm when it got dark. It's 10° warmer today than what is expected tomorrow. How about that?

All the things I could talk about like, oh let's see, Minjee almost braining me and I do a weather report.

One thing I'm not a fan of is the conceding.

Way too generous. I suspect the ladies are being kind to each other. Granted my eyelids get pretty heavy while I'm watching but I don't recall seeing very many three-footers being hit. Maybe they just aren't being missed and thus not televised. Hard to say, the coverage is weird, and very America-centric. I think I saw Minjee twice yesterday.

Why would you want to watch Minjee when you can get loads of Cristie Kerr? :-) I've been spending my time watching Minjee, In Gee, So Yeon, Georgia and Charlie.

Speaking of missed little ones. On the ninth near the end of the day Korda missed a three-footer to halve the hole. And all the other players were gone because it was a mere formality, tap in. And boy was she mad! lol. God it was funny watching her storm around and throw a tantrum all by herself on the green. Funny like when a friend misses a two-footer and loses his cool and you have to turn away because you're laughing.

That's right Legit you can hear the kindness in their voice when they say, "pick it up Anna". They do it with the "I'm not going to make you putt that" tone. The Japanese should have conceded. It just wasn't fair to Jessica! :-). Also didn't see near as many concedes on Friday as they were on Saturday.

It's 6:30am and they start at 7. Friday I was there from 7:30am tell 6pm. I thought I was leaving at 3pm after and exhausting day when I noticed players on the 4th. So I walked over and that's when I found out everybody was playing another 18 or try to. If they're willing to stay then so am I. Thoroughly enjoyed Friday even though it rained all day. My feet were soaked within the first hour.

I don't believe I've ever felt more welcome than I do here in Korea. The hospitality is off the charts. Everybody saying hi, talking golf very nice.

I feel bad for Australia, 7 points and gone like that. IMO the playoff should have been England and Australia, the 5th team is just a gimmick and I so dislike gimmicks in any sporting event.

They need 5 teams for the singles so that all 4 players of each team play.

I guess that math makes sense lol, still the format still bugs me, I'd like 1vs2 semi and then a final

why is a team with 7 points in a playoff with 2 teams that had 5 points? Why did England get the 2nd spot (head to head), why is this not on yet......?

Read my post #125. The two third place teams + any tie 3rd place teams.

It is basically a heavy handed approach to minimized the chance of a big name team getting eliminated.

Then you are facing a potential scenario of Sweden vs England in the final. Imagine you are Mike Whan and having to explain this scenario to the marketing chief of UL . :)

Then you shouldn't have match play events lol. I guess this mean in the WGC Match play event Tiger and Phil make the playoff with the"NEW" years of service clause lol :taunt:

Korea draw Nordqvist , Ariya and Lexi. I guess everybody is ganging up on them . If they wins it, no one can say they didn't earn it.

For it to be a semi blind draw, some of the matchups seem perfect for TV. World #1vs. #2. Lexi vs. So Yeon. Two lowest ranked players in the field facing off.

But they didn't get Pornanong vs. Hall or Lexi vs. Nordqvist.

Yeah I don't really care for the playoff setup. AUS ties England for 2nd in pool A but has to play two teams with lower points from Pool B. And Ariya slammed that door lol.

Really feel bad for TPA - 0 points :(.

Frigging Golf Channel - Schedule start time for coverage is 9pm EST, and they run GC. I get it, the Safeway ran a bit late, it is what it is. But they don't even reference the Crown until 15 min or so into the broadcast - everybody tuned it for Crown gets left hanging for 15 min before they even mention what is going on, if they are even playing, etc.

Also was wondering about the Singles Draw - whether it was a true blind draw or a "TV draw". I haven't started watching coverage proper for singles yet, did they explain it at all?

Semi blind draw. Meaning the player picks which team she will be up against, but doesn't know which particular player.

That of course, more often than not , would result in the big guns against the big guns.

I've also re-thought my stance on the playoff, I can see where the all 3rd place teams method does make sense, keeps from penalizing a 3rd place team in a harder pool, I suppose. Still, sucks for AUS to go from T2 in pool to trunk slamming.

Points carryover makes it hard for a wildcard team to win.. but I guess that's as is should be - mathematically it's possible I guess but a bit of a stretch. I've got early tee time in the AM so will watch a bit tonight but the rest will have to wait until tomorrow for me :).

Talked to a gentleman from Aviara and he feels Australia got boned. More points than Sweden and Thailand who made the finals. Doesn't sound fair to me either.

Maybe I’m missing something, but I don’t even see how Thailand made the playoff.

One thing for sure is that they’ll have a say in who wins.

Thailand had a playoff with Japan and Ariya chipped in for eagle on 14 to advance. Now I see why you all don't post during the tournament. Right now it's 4:30 in the morning on the east coast. Haha wake up people! CHARLEY Hull bravedave that's how her name is spelled. You Dummy You. I'm looking at the board on the course and I see Charley Hull.
