Every putt Wie misses she bends her knees dropping down as if it was close and should have gone in. She did it yesterday on one that she missed by a good 6 inches, never touching the hole.

OK, I was wondering if Ariya and Moriya would team up. It looks like they're on track to take down Anna and Caroline in the 3rd session.

For all the complaints we have with the coverage throughout the season, I have to say this is the best coverage we've seen by far. Eight groups covered by eight cameras. Plenty of reporters on the course. Most importantly there is a minimum of fluff pieces, and an almost endless stream of shots. Wow. Actual golf.

 

The downside being that a home viewer gets a better idea of exactly how glacial the pace is out there. I had a hockey game to click over to, otherwise I would have fallen asleep.

One thing I'm not a fan of is the conceding.

 

Way too generous. I suspect the ladies are being kind to each other. Granted my eyelids get pretty heavy while I'm watching but I don't recall seeing very many three-footers being hit. Maybe they just aren't being missed and thus not televised. Hard to say, the coverage is weird, and very America-centric. I think I saw Minjee twice yesterday.

I don't expect to see any golf today. The Saturday forecast calls for heavy rain, 25 mph winds, and gusts up to 60 mph. Yikes.

 

Sunday looks much better, with partly sunny skies, and winds of only 9 mph. The final match has 12 holes remaining, so it's very likely they'll finish it on Sunday morning.

Wie/Korda pairing needs to get it together, I can see them getting 0 points if they don't improve. Occasional flashes of brilliance, but sloppy overall. When Kerr grabbed her back on 1 tee I was like oh no here we go. Turned out to be non-issue, but do they even have an alternate on site for injury? Common sense would say 5th on the list (Kang, or Salas maybe?) Wonder if they are there. With next event being Hana Bank also at Incheon I suppose coming over early not a big issue.

 

Well when I'm wrong, I'm usually very wrong lol... Nice turnaround for Wie/Korda today...err, in the 2nd round/session. I watched 2nd session up till USA finished last night, finishing up watching the 2nd session today. Saw a reference to the 3rd session already so going to stay out of the thread until I can get caught up...

The 3rd session was suspended due to darkness. The first match completed 14 holes, and the last match finished 6 holes.

It is looking like Thailand, Japan and Taiwan (screw you this is America, I can still call it Taiwan) are headed home barring some dramatic late match turnarounds. Japan actually has a somewhat realistic shot at a playoff with Australia for the fifth spot, if Hataoka/Uehara can hold their 1-up lead and if Higa/Narita can come back from 1-down with seven holes to go. Tall task against Kerr and Thompson though.

Sherman certainly appears to be the weak link for Thailand. They could have probably used Thidapa. Japan is missing Ai Suzuki, who's out due to injury.

Also very bad strategy from Thailand, should have played Ariya and Moriya together the first 3 matches, you'd assume that would have given them 6 points and hope the other team sneaks out a half. Double P is very streaky she could have maybe stole a match one of the 3 days.

Hopefully they get the 3rd session completed today, and cut over from the PGA tournament that's airing early this morning.

 

I watched the 2nd session again, and noted the number of shots shown for each team. I counted 234 live shots, with 46 shots for the U.S. (20%), 42 shots for Australia (18%), 38 shots for Thailand (16%), 37 shots for Korea (16%), 19 shots for England and Taiwan (8%), 17 shots for Sweden (7%), and 16 shots for Japan (7%). Sweden and Japan played a combined 29 holes, the U.S. and Thailand 29 holes, England and Taiwan 31 holes, and Korea and Australia 33 holes.
