The ATV grind has a crescent shaped channel cut out of the sole and there's an aggressive grind on the leading edge. The 4-way camber looks like a more "traditional" grind. Picture attached.

Anybody have any feedback on the different grinds? Seriously thinking about getting a 60* and am leaning towards the ATV, but would love to get some opinions.

ATV has more playable bounce than the “4 way” which is more of a basic mid low bounce C grind

The 4-way grind also has less belly, or more of a straight leading edge. The ATV has more belly and is more rounded. Just a guess but I think this would make the 4-way a little more stable getting through the turf on full swings, and the ATV better in the rough and sand. I just bought a 60 ATV, will be getting it on the course next weekend.

I went with the ATV in hopes its better around the green, bunkers and rough. I will hit 3/4 swings/shots with it, but likely no full swings. General consensus is that its no the best sole for full swings.

It looks like the ATV would dig more on straight face shots.

 

I also noticed that Rahm/DJ/Rors/JD are all now using either the 4 way or a custom version no ATV.

I own both, and for reference I typically prefer a low / standard bounce lob wedge with some heel relief. I do take fullish swings with my lob wedge and do the majority of my work around the greens with it so require some flexibility. My favorite grind is the Vokey TVD grind followed by their M Grind. From TM the low bounce on the Milled Grind work really well for me too.

 

I originally bought the 58* ATV High Toe to see if I would like it, and found it was solid in real thick rough, and on shots that I was really trying to hit down on it, softer conditions, or in thick / soft sand. But on most other shots I felt the bounce / width of the sole come into play too much. You can open them up to a degree but wouldn't suggest it if your lie is a little bare. When the four way sole became available I bought it right away because there were a lot of elements that I really liked of the ATV grind but couldn't get past how much the bounce and sole dragged through the turf for me.

 

Setup: I don't know if this is just me, but the leading edge on the four way looks straighter and definitely sits closer to the ground.

 

Feel: Identical, these aren't uber soft wedges, but they are no better or worse than Milled Grinds / Vokeys etc. Keep in mind I'm not super picky when it comes to this area so YMMV

 

Performance: All the issues with the ATV the four way has solved for me with the exception of being able to really open up the club. I also didn't feel like I lost anything on shots where the ATV seem to shine. I'm waiting for the low bounce version to come out as that really has the heel relief that I prefer, but overall the four way wedge has been a real solid club.

Has it been confirmed that a low bounce version is coming? I have a 58 in the ATV and have the same issues most on here have mentioned regarding opening the face. Seems like the 4-way would be an improvement but a low bounce would really be the ticket.

I tried the 60* ATV a while back and found it dug a lot on straight faced shots. I'm tempted to try the new 4-way camber grind as I like the idea of a hi-toe wedge, but not sure I'll ever get around to it.

Is the ATV the lowest leading edge to the ground? Looking for the same effect as the Vokey M grind, where they leading edge sits close to turf and there is lots of relief.

TM vault sells the LB version. I got one best 60 degree wedge in my opinion does it all

Is that 9* version they sell on vault that is the low bounce? It says standard sole, the other grinds seem to be the same as retail. Thanks for advice.

Yes and comes with a C Grind. Awesome all around wedge

It's dumb that the Low Bounce isn't a standard offering. I like my ATV for square shots and hard spinning pitches and chips, but like everyone else said, it's brutal trying to lay the face open. If Vokey made an M Grind with full face scoring lines, it'd be a winner.
