Nike Engage Wedges...will I regret my purchases

So...I was planning on picking up 54/58 SM7 wedges this past weekend while in attendance at the Chicago Golf Show. Being the stubborn a** that I am, no vendors would budge $10 off their lowest price. So I've been on a spending spree for Nike engage wedges.

I have purchased a 54* Square----56* Sweep----58* Dual. I am super excited, and not too much $ in...

Will I regret going "backwards" with my wedge purchase?

Engage wedges were the best wedges Nike ever made IMO.

Dont think there is a better wedge design out there. Just got a new 52/56/60 combo but i am considering picking an other or two as backup!

I think I might have been the only person in the world that hated my Engages when I had them. I was a long time Nike wedge fan, having had them from the original David Duval and Tiger Woods grind forged wedges, to the SV, to the VR Pro II, and then the Engage. I got along well with the Toe Sweep but the Dual sole and I were not friends at all. Every person at the golf shop I worked at had a set of Engage's when they came out, I was the only person to find them very average, to even below. I probably could have kept the Toe Sweep, but I landed on Glide 2.0s and have enjoyed them since.

From my experience, yes you will regret, but from everyone else ever in the world that has tried an Engage, no you will love them!

Heck no. I play Miura black wedges, Vokey original SM, Srixon wedges, TM RAC black wedges, and the only only wedge that holds its own against these are the Nike Engage wedges. I like the Engage wedges more than the VR ones, and it's a bonus that some places are still selling NOS for a fraction of what they originally cost!

The toe sweep wedges are freaking weird, but other than that, I love the two I got.... pretty limited if you like forged wedges to Nike or Mizuno......

i have a 50 & 54 (55bent) SS, 60 DS. Still my favorite wedges and can still be found brand new. I haven't found the consistency id like with the 60 DS, so i picked up a Toe Sweep version of it same loft. A little funny looking in the bag, but I have found pure confidence with any type of shot around the green. The DS felt like i had to manipulate my swing too much. It dug when intended to pick were my misses with that grind. I plan on picking up a 58 Toe Sweep just to see how much easier it is to make 3/4 swings, as the 60 always leaves me a bit short sometimes.

Mixed answer here. I have the 60 TS and it's a fantastic wedge for me. A dream from bunkers, and all around. Because of the success I had with the 60 I got a 56 TS and 52 standard. Somewhat competent with the 56, but it stands no chance vs my Scratch 1018 and Fit model 56 wedges. The 52 -- for me -- can't hit for sh*t. A real clunker. Everything wants to go right. Granted, that is 99% the Indian not the arrow but it didn't even see bag time lol. Scratch 1018 53 is firmly in the bag (with the 56). Again, though, Engage TS 60 is hard to beat.
