F9 driver... Atmos TS 6 vs Hzrdus Smoke...

When demoing this driver which of these shafts gave you better numbers?

Also are they real deal?

I picked up the F9 with the Atmos Blue TS 6S and have been playing with that. Comparing to the Smoke, it was more about feel and timing. I got similar numbers but was more consistent with the Atmos because I was able to keep all my strikes centered. The profile of the Smoke was causing me to strike closer to the toe and overall an inconsistent swing. The mid bend profile generally suits my swing as I like how it loads.

As far as I've been told and read, Cobra is putting real deal shafts in the F9 line. The Atmos is just a black paint job vs. the white aftermarket.

The fitting carts have the Smoke 60 gram and Atmos 70 gram in them. 60g is supposed to be aimed at guys playing stiff flex and the 70g is aimed at x-flex guys. My results were very similar. You can get both of them in 60 and 70 gram weights though. Just have not seen them in a fitting cart yet.

I am not a shaft expert but was told by a rep. that they do not make a handcrafted smoke.....I would be interested to know if that is correct.

I just got a F9 that came with the Smoke 70g stiff. That shaft wasn't for me. I swapped out the adapter and threw my HZRDUS yellow 63g stiff in it, and I absolutely love it! Very hot and forgiving club. Needless to say the 70g Smoke will be on the BST soon.

I first bought the 10.5 with Atmos TS Blue and hated the club almost gave up on it. Then I gave it one more shot 10.5 with Smoke and its the best driver I have ever played with increases in carry and total distance probably picked up 10 yards at least and I only swing the driver 95-102mph. I am super happy with that but even more excited about the dispersion of this club. I am very confident where it is headed most of the time!

I just was fit and ordered my f9 yesterday . I started with the Atmos stiff, then smoke stiff , and best numbers were with smoke x stiff 60 g . I've never played x stiffs they are usually low , right machines for me . The smoke is a bit smoother feeling tho . After the fit I gained 4 to 5 mph ball speed with the F9 over my Rogue . Got more launch up from 11 with Rogue to 14 w/F9 . Consistently 5 to 8 yards more carry and maxed out at 262 carry which is longest I've ever carried a driver . Feel off the face is amazing , and seemed to retain good ball speed on mishits. My mishits with F9 still got me 150 ball speed ...where Rogue a mishit would be 145ish .

I played the hzrdus yellow 6.0 with my Rogue ... the Smoke x stiff 6.5 felt just as smooth if not better , and more launch . Gained 3 mph s.s. with the F9 / smoke setup over my Rogue setup .

I am about a 104ss with moderate to aggressive transition depending on the day. Have always played stiff, but got fit into the Atmos Tour Spec 6x black (69g). I'm still a bit skeptical due to some blocks that I was getting with all shafts that day, but hopefully will confirm the fit when it arrives and am releasing. Was just a better fit for me for contact, spin and launch, though I have liked the Hzrdus Smoke 60 when just hitting in bays at a box store.

When I was fit for a TS2 last fall, I was fit into the 5.5 HZRDUS Smoke 60 (regular flex). However, Cobra doesn't offer the 5.5 in the Smoke, so I tried both the 6.0 Smoke and the Atmos TS Blue in 60R. They Atmos definitely launched higher, but I can't tell if it was turning over too much, as I was inside for the Cobra. Anyone have any thoughts between the two, or how the HZRDUS Red 6.0 might fit in the mix?
