Vokey low bounce K - Alternatives

I bought the low bounce K from Wedgeworks in 2017 and need to replace it. I tried the K in the same loft but they aren't the same, neither is the M grind. I think the thing I like best about the low bounce K is that when soled the bottom groove is basically on the ground. It's the perfect wedge for me and I'm curious if anyone else has replaced one

Anyone compare to a Callaway Mack Daddy C grind? I saw some posts about a Cobra, any long term feedback? The other thing I was considering was a K grind through Wedgeworks and ask if they could handgrind it as close as possible to the low-bounce K, but I doubt they will.

Any feedback welcomed

Good grief!  If you don't know, don't post.

1. The Vokey low bounce K is nothing like the D grind.  The D grind is a M grind with higher bounce.  They couldn't be more different.

2. Its a wide-sole, low-bounce grind.  This is a very unusual combination because diggers want high bounce and wide soles and pickers want low bounce and narrow soles.  Its meant for drivers, which is a tiny segment of golfers.

3. Do you care about conforming grooves?  If not, the 258-08 is very cheap and extremely similar.

4. Callaway doesn't carry a grind that resembles a low bounce K.  The Cobra wide low is identical.

I'm familiar with pickers and diggers, but what is a "driver" and why does the K grind work for that type of swing?

A driver is a relatively rare type of wedge player that is a digger from distance but a picker around the green.  Typically, the driver is a skilled player that uses spin, and not height, to stop greenside shots.  A driver has the same attack angle both greenside and from distance but opens the wedge to add lots of spin and avoid taking a divot around the green despite the digger swing.

A typical driver is characterized by open wedges on virtually every short game shot including chips and massive divots (well played shots, just large divots) from wedge distance.

A driver wants a digger sole but picker bounce.  The wide sole gives his wedge forgiveness from a steep attack angle when pitching from somewhat away from the green but the low bounce allows the driver to open the face up without exposing much metal to the ball.

Anyone who has deep/plentiful divots from distance but loves to open up around the green should look at wide sole low bounce wedges.  Drivers also tend to like the cousin of the wide low and the low bounce K, the PM grind.  The PM grind loves being opened up, but the high bounce allows the driver to pitch with a steep attack angle.

Man, this is super interesting. I don't want to jump out and say I'm in this special category, but it does sound a lot like my game. I can dig a trench with a PW or GW, but I'm not catching the shot fat and it goes the correct distance. I also have no issue chipping off a green and prefer to catch chip shots as clean as possible. Flight on all full swings is lower than average and spin is higher than average. I have struggled with my wedge setup and have found it easier to have more wedge for more options. Low bounce lob and high bounce sand wedge helps a lot.

Your signature shows you are basically playing the same thing as a wide low just in two different clubs.  The only difference between the D and the M, even down to weight, is bounce.  You have a high bounce sand wedge and a low bounce lob wedge with identical heads.
