I think there's quite a few people who would reuse good grips if they knew it could be done.

I'm not assuming anything. I do this. Others i know do this.

Examples?

You buy a wonderful putter grip. It costs $40. You put it on one of your putters. That putter falls out of favour. You blow the grip off...put on a $10 grip and keep your favorite grip.

You buy a nice set of best grips. $20 USD each. They are on your irons. You get fit. Change shafts. Keep $20 grips.

I wouldn’t spend $20 per grip to regrip a set of clubs and then decide to go get fit. That’s just me. I understand what you’re saying and if someone changes clubs 2-3 times a year I suppose it would make sense even though the grip core is gonna be stretched if it’s been on the club awhile and make it even more dicey to be blown on another shaft. When I put a grip on I want it to be 100% secure and not hope a blown on grip shifts on me and yes it has happened to me.

I reuse grips all the time that have been installed with tape and solvent. I have a solvent injection grip remover from Golfworks that removes them good as new with no tape left inside.
