Any Feedback On The Graphite Design Tour AD F-Series Fairway Wood Shaft?

Has anyone tried the GD AD F-Series fairway wood shafts?

I HAD A 55 GRAM fairway wood shaft put in my TS2 ; and added .75 loft and 43" and it is fabulous.Funny your OP as I just met Mcpherson of GD here at my off course shop 1/2 hr ago.

It just seems like it would work great in my Flash 3W. Relatively low torque, but soft tip. Interesting.

I was wondering about the flex. I currently play stiff shafts in everything. I am going to be 71 soon, but I still hit my 8 iron about 145 yards of carry. I have the Evenflow Blue 65-S in the driver and I can hit is in the 240-250 range. I was debating between the SR and S flex. What are your thoughts on flex. I have a long smooth tempo swing (not a hitter).

I just replaced the ADVR with the F7 in my flash SZ 3 wood. I wanted to get more launch and control and it did exactly that. Like it so far but it does have a soft tip. Had mine built by will people’s

I have the 8S in my 5 wood, launches high, it's the longest club I can hit into a green. It's the first GD i've ever owned, it converted me.

I have the 55 R and hit about the same yardage and am 67.The RS SHOULD BE GREAT FOR YOUR SPEED.

I don’t think they play overly stiff

They are great shafts and very dependable. GD is pretty much all I play in my woods and hybrid. The Ventus is intriguing me though.

I just put a 7x in my 5 wood coming from a evenflow blue 75 6.0. I was a little worried it would be to stiff but after my first round with it I love it. I can still hit my 5 wood plenty high but with much better control.

I currently play the IZ 70s in my Rogue 4wood, would like more height off the turf without sacrificing accuracy. Anyone compare the IZ to the AD-F?

I play the IZ in my driver and the F in my 3 wood. I would say the F is more tip soft for sure. I say softer but not like noodle feel soft. You can still go at it and not worry about the head not catching up. I had the VR in my 3 wood as well. VR was long but could never get height. The F gave me the height I wanted and actually could work it better. I wouldn’t think accuracy would suffer but you might not hit is as long because the F seems to spin a bit more

Great input guys. I love GD shafts, but never tried the F. Do manufacturers give you the option to get the F or do I have to order it separate?

I’ve never seen it offered through any of the big brands. Will People’s offers it at a good price and use WRX at checkout for 15%.

4 years later I bought one of these shafts from Japan for $140. Got the 65S version for my g430 Ping 7 wood. I used the 2.0 Chrome driver shaft in stiff, cut it down and it works well but I'm thinking the GD fwy will be better.
