Rapsodo MLM Experience

Apologies for bumping an old thread, but do folks know if there's a way to have multiple clubs of the same type in your bag or rename the clubs based on model/loft? I want to do some club comparisons.

I came here to ask the same question.  Anyone?  Name them different for different shafts etc?

You can have multiple clubs of the same type, but only 1 of each type in your bag. Others of the same type will be in Inventory. I’m not connected to my MLM2 at the moment, so I don’t know if you can select a club from Inventory when hitting. If not, you’d want to hit with one club, then go into your profile and replace it by moving the other club from Inventory to your bag, then hit with it. Even if you delete a club, the shot data remains.

this seems like a glowing review of the rapsodo.

When it comes to accuracy, the MLM2 is great. The trade off, for now anyway, is that the app is weak. For some reason, Rapsodo can’t figure out how to fit all of the metrics on one screen, which forces you to pick and choose the ones you want to see when hitting. If you want to see others, you have to go into the details of individual shots. No short game practice areas or any kind of gamification. Hopefully, Rapsodo will continue to improve the app experience. But in the end, accuracy is the most important element and the MLM2 delivers.

If you subscribe you get the Rapsodo Combine which is pretty great! In addition, I don't think a lot of folks know you can view sessions on their website - https://golf-cloud.rapsodo.com/

The thing I dislike about the Combine feature is the requirement to hit driver. I’m sure there’s a reason behind this in the evaluation, but my setup requires me to move things around a bit to hit my driver, so I never use the Combines. From what I remember, you can select 2 of the 3 clubs, but 1 of the 3 has to be driver.

I’ve also had some sync issues that Rapsodo has acknowledged. Some sessions sync and others don’t. I thought it was fixed, but then I noticed some recent sessions that didn’t sync. I do like that the website lets you select a club from a session and see the average of all the metrics from shots hit with that club. Due to an international flight and the desire to download several movies, I had to delete the app from my iPad, so it’s good to know that the sessions are still available, at least the ones that synced up.

This is a pain! It doesn’t let you have multiple of the same club type in the bag at the same time. I was trying to compare a Ping with factory shaft to a Ping with upgraded shaft to a Titeist and I had to keep leaving the session to swap out drivers from inventory to the bag. I think I had to end my session before I could swap clubs too, so I couldn’t have all 3 in the same comparison. I compared the 3 separate sessions instead.

Alright back from hitting my usual Pro V1s and compared to range balls. Due to the size of the short game practice area I couldn't hit anything longer than a 7 iron, but the results are interesting. The comparison is Rapsodo MLM with the range ball setting for the range balls, and premium ball setting for the ProV1.

54º - 4yds shorter

GW - 4yds shorter

PW - 9yds shorter

9i - 6.5yds shorter

8i - 12yds shorter

7i - 8yds shorter

So basically call it 5yds shorter on wedges and ~10yds shorter from PW up. Likely good enough for me. Interestingly the measured ProV1 data is actually pretty close to the TopTracer estimates at the range with range balls (albeit 3 yards shorter) for almost everything except my gap wedge, which is 10yds shorter in real life vs the TopTracer estimate.
