I did a post about it on my WITB also, but the other day I Won my first ever tournament with them, and chipped in an Eagle from 87 yards with a smooth 60% swing with my P770 PW!!

 

If these are the shots we’re hitting while still getting them dialed in, how good will they be once we’re fully comfortable with them, Lol.

More a feel thing I can’t quite get over through the bag. Too fast and slightly firm feeling than I’m used to coming from a one piece forged head.

 

The irons will be sold and the round was saved by me sticking it close when getting up and down.

Just goes to show, it’s all about personal preference, and it’s different strokes for different folks.

 

I’m absolutely loving the P770’s and they’re going to be very tough to kick out of my bag!

 

Good luck with the next set of irons though…hopefully you find the perfect setup for your game!

Yep. For me, the P770 performs but it’s just not the feel I’m so accustomed to. 
 

Changes will be:

 

P770 to T100 or 620 CB - need to sell the P770s but can’t repost them for like another two weeks so I’m updating WTB every hour lol 

Might stay with P7MC and use the proper shaft. Possibly 4/5 P770.  

3/5 Stealth 2 woods to TSR2 16.5 with same shaft.

4 iron is solid. Despite the feel I still haven’t got used to, the 4,5,and 6 fly very nice. Super easy to get up and pierce the air. 
 

4 wood treated me nicely. I didn’t miss a fairway with it and “got on” in two on a par five I had about 246 to the center. Landed on the front and just rolled to the back fringe. I’m liking it quite a bit. 
 

Shot a 79 after not playing in a month so I’ll take it! Made two solid putts to close with two birds. I couldn’t get much of anything going on the front nine.

Nice! Yeah, I’m not surprised the TSR2 ended up winning out.

 

I tested out the Stealth 2 Plus 3W a few weeks ago and the thing wouldn’t go straight or left no matter what type of swing I put on it. Good for some, but my miss is right so it was a horrible fit.

 

For the P770’s, the 5-iron is my favourite long iron I’ve hit, so I’m considering ordering either a P770 4-iron, or a P790…we’ll see.

Dia De Los Muertos update

 

The packaging, golf balls, and head cover are just incredible. I can’t wait to play this weekend!

Back with my P7MC paired with P770. I’ve got the Modus 120 in these this time around and it’s made a huge difference in the past two rounds. Feel is great but I’m hitting 3-4 more greens on average. 
 

Spider Tour X is rolling nicely as well. I’ve stuck the 4 wood back in and I’ve gone back to shafts I gamed for years - Tour AD DI 6x and 7x. 
 

The prototype ball performed great today. I have been playing the TP5 and ProV1 the past year but it seems like the TP5 just works. Hop and stop, consistent yardages, and nice flight characteristics on all shots. 
 

This morning’s weather was perfect too. This setup is definitely giving me 69 vibes again. We’ll see how next weekend goes.

I've got two! Thanks. I usually use my Nikon Z6 for all my photos, but I only had my phone with me out there. It still does the job!

I honestly wish to get a side job writing about and testing equipment. I love it. I just get a kick out of trying new stuff and seeing how it performs. Hell, I may even have another putter or two on the way before this post hits 😂 

 

I was in the golf industry at one point when I worked for the corporate office of Golfsmith. I fell in love with everything that goes with the game. I love to play and enjoy looking into the history of golf and courses.

I will always have a love affair with a blade of some sort. I’m currently all in on the LAB putter and what they do for people’s putting strokes. I just ordered the pistol grip for my MEZZ Max so I’m excited to see how it plays once installed. I’ve got a round next weekend with a buddy of mine and I can’t wait to test it out then. I’m really hoping my irons may ship after Christmas and possibly get in time for that round as well.

I thought it wasn't going to feel as good as this. I thought it was going to have a much firmer feel off the face. With a TP5 or Pro V1, it feels great to me. If people use a firmer ball, I can see how it feels clicky to some out there. 

 

I'm quite enjoying it so far. I haven't had much time on course with it, but it rolls well inside on my mat. Tracks its line well and end over end.
