Tour Issue AMT S400 vs AMT Tour White S300

Has anyone compared these two shafts. It seems the Tour White replaced the Tour Issue S400. I really like that shaft so wondering if the Tour White is basically the same thing rebranded.

Interesting, I guess that's what I'm asking. The AMT TI S400 is out of production.

@ccorrada I hard stepped the Tour White S300 this year in my T100's... Increased static weight starting with the 8i down to the 4i and of course marginally stiffer. @Howard_Jones had posted some great charts in another thread showing the weights of the AMT/Tour White shafts if they were soft-stepped or HS'd. This may be a good option for your.

There was a seller on Ebay selling Black Onyx 4-GW AMT S300 for dirt cheap. I bought a set and hard stepped them and used them in 3-PW. Be aware that the weight tolerances were off a bit, probably due to the powder coating.

AMT is different from other shafts since they move more up or down in shaft weight when we soft or hard step them than what we are used to see, and i think its one of this charts you are thinking of.

I saw that and that was kind of why I'm asking the question. So were they heavier due to the powder coating? How does the finish hold up?

They weren't all heavier, but some were. They did not have consistent weight progressions per the specs.

Can't comment on the durability, as I can't play them until the snow melts.

True Temper has done their very best to confuse their own customers.

AMT S400 Tour Issue was "Tour issue weight sorting" with a plus minus 0.5 grams tolerance.

AMT Tour White S400 is a reference to "Tour weight" (what ever that is), and they are sorted by the GOLD standard of plus minus 1.5 grams, so worse case is 2 shafts with the same weight.
