Played 18 tonight. Just about it got it done before the sun went. Wasn't too bad really, fairly typical. The back 9 went a bit wobbly but that would fatigue as I hadn't bothered to bring anything to drink or eat. If I can keep the form of the front 9 going for all 18 I think I'll be doing well enough. But it appears that a month without golf hasn't made much of a difference.

It also confirmed that my work with the Skillz whip has made a difference. I was driving longer and generally straighter.

Ive seen some new to golf players at the course, mostly of the sub-adult variety.

My course seems busier, I know I've been out almost every day since our order was modified. I don't have too much trouble getting a tee time, although one morning I had to book it out there to make a time that fit my schedule.

In Iowa, courses never closed ... and they've never been busier. Getting out for a quick round is a thing of the past, for now.

A normal weekday afternoon sees filled teesheets and 5 hour rounds. It's brutal. There is no escaping long, torturous rounds. Toddlers, first timers who have never picked up a golf club before in their lives, people sharing bags, 30 minute holes - all common place from sun up to sundown. My job has always had a flexible schedule that has allowed me to work when I wanted and play golf during the day ... it seems for a lot of people, work from home = vacation.

In fairness a lot of us who work from home no longer have the morning commute time, or a morning routine like the gym. So I can start work at 6 instead of 730 and go out to play. My regular group, all co workers do this and it’s nice.

In Montreal all we are allowed to do is Golf and Tennis right now, my club is expecting it to be so busy that they are not allowing guests until further notice. I imagine most clubs are doing similar things.

I would guess for the first month, you won't be able to get reservations at popular public courses like 4Domaines in Mirabel which is always slammed. You'll probably have to know someone to get a time there.

Like i said earlier though, this won't last, as soon as other stuff is allowed again courses will become less busy.

One of my good friends is a competitive swimmer and pools are not allowed to open, he has told me he'll probably play 2x as many rounds as normal if that doesn't change. I'm sure a lot of people have stories like that
