How often does CPO offer "flash sales" or change prices?

I was soooooo close to buy a Callaway Epic Flash from CPO's ebay store this morning, very good condition for $163. I saved it in my watch list and went to an online meeting. I came back 40 minutes later and the price had bumped up to $208. My question is, how long might you expect it to take for CPO to offer the lower price? Do they change daily? Hourly? Would it do me any good to call them and ask for the lower price? I haven't dealt with CPO before, so any advice is welcomed!

At least you didn’t get this box in the mail from them today. Too add insult to injury, it didn’t even have the clubs I ordered in it - it had a different club and the ones I ordered they don’t have available anymore.

Yikes, I think we've all got a box like that at some time. My last one was a box of Easter goodies from my mom for my kids. Box clearly arrived empty. The USPS guy RAN to his truck and gunned it. I chased him two blocks with no success.

Same for me. Clubs in terrible condition for “like new”. Sucks because you shell out $700 for the deeply discounted stuff on their sale and then Actually get their “good or average” condition stuff which would have been that price if you chose it before the sale happened. And it’s easy to say, “just call them and return it” but then it took 9 days to get to me after I ordered it and at least another 9 to return get credited and buy something else or have them replace it. By then you are getting close to three weeks of golf time passed without the clubs you originally wanted. Rant over, sorry to vent.

They have sent me 2 clubs in the last three weeks that have been far from "Like New" condition. CPO has really slipped from what I can tell.

Most of the sales are just the same stuff and they raise and lower the pricing to accomodate the percentage off. You really have to dig to get any deal. Usually the best times, at least for me, are when they have the BOGO deals or Black Friday. Everything else is the same thing that RBG and TGW usually do.

The thing that is bizarre to me is that I also ordered 2 wedges for my mother on the same day I ordered my two wedges. I was at her house when her wedges arrived yesterday and they were in a legit box with no issues. An hour later I’m back at my house and my “order” arrives in a flimsy box that’s beat up, torn, has holes in it, and foot prints on it and the wedges I ordered aren’t even in it, instead is a beat up wedge from over 10 years ago that is labeled as “classic.”

 

I’ve had 5 other orders with them this month with no issues. I just don’t know what happened here and the rep on the phone didn’t offer any insight. The disappointing part is that what I ordered is no longer available so while I get a refund, I don’t get the clubs I wanted.

Sooooo, I just called them and the guy said it sounded like they made a mistake on the price when they listed it and it got corrected. If I had taken a screen shot of it, they would have honored the $163 price. As it is, while it is listed at $208 on ebay, it is $192 on their website. He offered to knock another 5% off to get it to $180, which is still cheaper than anything comparable on ebay right now. Now I have a driver on the way.

They used to update sales every Tuesday, seems to have slowed down with the virus. Usually pays to be patient with them, back in April the epic flash was 40% off on their site.

Epic Flash came today with original headcover and in very good condition. I about the “good” rated club and I’m very happy with the condition.
