Did Extensive testing with the Mavrik and Mavrik Sub Zero Today

Did quite a bit of tinkering. I tested the Sub Zero 10.5 on multiple settings, the SZ 9 in multiple settings, and the Mavrik 9 in multiple settings.

Ultimately I was averaging an extra 2-3 MPH ball speed with the SZ but honestly I wasn't noticing that much less forgiveness between the two heads. The regular Mavrik I personally believe was only more forgiving due to a bit higher spin making the ball a bit more controllable. It just wasn't a noticeable enough difference to justify the loss in distance because I raised my spin about 400 rpm and I lost a couple MPH ball speed.

I swing up at it, a lot typically 5-6 degrees up, so I wound up with the SZ head set at 8 degrees which gave me a launch of about 16 with about 1900 spin with a draw and about 2300 with a fade.

Hit the longest drives I've ever measured on GC Quad with this thing.

I didn't test the SIM, I kinda wanted to but I just felt really comfortable with the SZ and decided to stick with what was working.

Rogue white 130 60x

I tested both the SZ and the regular Mavrik. Same shaft (Rogue White 130 60) but different lofts. Tried a 10.5 in the SZ, was hitting it too high, so adjusted the hosel down to 9. Was still hitting kind of high, but was also partly due to a slight fade with that head. Shaft felt great, so I decided to try the normal Mavrik in 9*. Better ball flight for me based on my swing. I have a upward AOA with driver , so I don’t spin the ball a ton. So a little more spin and a little more forgiveness seemed to suit me vs the SZ. I don’t have a lot of time under my belt yet, but it is definitely longer than the Ping G410 Plus and LST (in my hands). Hit some monster drives with it this week (still in honeymoon phase, lol). I love the feel of the Rogue White shaft, has nice kick and release for me, better suited than the Silver for my swing.

I hit up on it a lot so I need the lower spin for sure.

I definitely picked up a chunk of yardage with it. I've had more forgiving drivers but sacrificed a ton of distance with them for just a bit more forgiveness.
