Cobra King Speedzone Big Tour Fairway

Haven’t hit it specifically, but I’m a big fan of low lofted three woods... if you have the swing Speed, I think they make sense... great for off the tee and not too much harder to hit off the deck.

i use mine when driver is too much club or don’t want any roll...

ive been eyeing the big tour three wood, but haven’t hit it yet... looks perfect for a mostly tee club.

IMO its not that great. especially considering the 13.5 loft.... I won a free set of 13 clubs through Cobra of my choice (upgraded shafts are my own). Before being picked for this I had already upgraded my entire bag to SIM Max driver, SIM 3w, 790 UDI, MP20 4-P, T20 52,56,60

The Big Tour 13.5 compared to the SIM I had lofted up to 16* has been 3mph slower and about 12 yards shorter on average. Comparing anything to this years SIM fairways is tough bc they are so extremely hot off the face!!! Ive also found the Big Tour to spin mid to high 3000's even with a Ventus Black and LA Golf Ozik Black Tie. Launches slightly higher on average but definitely not a balloon ball. If youre looking for a bomber off the tee then id pick SIM hands down and its not even close. The SIM also isn't super low spin so you dont have to worry about blowing by greens from the fairway.

FORGIVNESS..... I honestly believe the SIM is much more forgiving and controllable than the Big Tour. No marketing BS but the Twist Face on the SIM is very noticeable on the fairways more than the drivers I believe. Toe strikes with the SIM stayed quite straight and definitely in play. With the Big Tour its a typical snap hook

a lot of people have mentioned this as just a tee option but it can easily be played from the fairway. By design it launches higher vs the regular Speedzone Tour.

I started the year with the big tour and was super disappointed. 3 wood is a club I normally hit really well off the tee and the deck. I couldn’t hit the big tour consistently at all from either. Moved it and went back to the Callaway 816. I have since picked up a sim max 3 and absolutely love it, long and straight from both the tee and fairway.

I had one, ended up going back to my TS2 which was more forgiving and just as long. Just could never get consistent with it and really that is what I want from a 3 wood.

Speedzone Big Tour 3 wood is fantastic. What hasn't been mentioned so far is look and feel. The name says "big", but it has a great size and shape. Feel off the face is also great. Forget about the 13.5* loft number. You have to try it out to see if this type of 3 wood gives you the right launch and spin combination. This club is mainly for the high spin player, with a neutral to negative angle of attack. I can hit this club higher than some 15* 3 woods due to the low and forward CG. There aren't a lot of situations where I like using a 3 wood off the deck anyhow, so it's almost exclusively a tee club for me. Came from the F9 standard fairway and this is a big improvement for me.

I had one for a hot minute, but it didn't really work for me. In many ways I suppose it does what is says it will, but it really is more of a mini-driver than it is a true low lofted fairway. The overall size made it hard for me to hit off the deck, and the rails are more decorative than functional.

Does it go a long way off the tee? Yes. Does it get a good launch from the turf? Not as much.

If you like Cobra and want a good low lofted fairway wood that is more versatile I would recommend the F9 Tour. It's smaller but its a rocket launcher and works well off the turf too.

These discussions hold no merit if we don't know everyone's swingspeeds. People under 100 mph driver SS should not hit the Big Tour so them complaining about it's efficacy is rubbish. The BT is a bomber. If you don't like the 13.5 loft, dial it up to 15. Simple. The claim that your 16* Sim is 12 yards farther than the BT is just the kind of interest misinformation we all know and love. Come to my sim room and I will gladly prove you wrong.

My SS is 114...and its not hard to understand that a club thats 3mph slower and spins mid 3000's is gonna be shorter than a club that is faster and spinning around 3000
