Not trying to be rude but why are you so obsessed with being just like Bryson?

Not worries! But it’s not about Bryson, it’s about his equipment set up. I find shorter long irons to be significantly tighter dispersion. And spin rates to be better with loft jacking on all clubs.

when I had carpel tunnel, I found the jumbo Max grips to be a game saver (I no longer play with those grips). and I I appreciate him for introducing me to armlock putting.

I don’t play long wedges, I don’t thing I do single plane, I don’t use a compass, or align the dimples on my putts lol.

Considering he is the only tour pro That had/ is having great success with the set up, and our swing speeds are in the same general ballpark, it has been much easier just copying his equipment.

Oh, my misses are terrible 🙂 . But I don’t care

miss=huge 300- 350 yard Slice balloon, or 300 yard worm burner (I actually kinda like the worm burner hah). Everyone in front of the ball is in danger, no matter where you are I will find you.

hit=330+ in the air, straight to small fade

we won’t talk percentages lol, but I’m riding this wave for sure. I’m with the scientist for now. I may try 6degree sim or other low lofts when I can find them

La golf shafts are the iron shafts he uses. You can find them on their website or anywhere that is a LAGP distributor. I know that they only list 5 flex as x but they make a 6 xx. If you are going single length, his 4 iron is 19 degrees loft, so you have to do the research there.

I appreciate that! I use the lagolf 5 flex in a variable set of t100 irons rn. I have plans to speak with ping about making me a set of his irons when I can put the time into it. I found the launch too low on the long irons in in my previous foray into all this, so I went variable length till I can figure out how to fix/live with that

I have tried every single length set there is I believe. Henry grifitts is the only company that has the ability to make a set that works. They have the tungsten placed in the right place and they have the best shaft salting to create a higher ball flight in the long irons.

That said, I have gone back to variable length irons and have had some success in my state open. I think it just allows me to be more athletic and reactive. If I feel the wind come up out of the right, I can kind of push or leave the face open with variable irons. With single length, it was one swing executed the same way no matter how the other factors were going - if that makes sense. I have talked to Barney Adams about this at length, and he said " horses for courses,". He said that Bryson is right for some courses and has no chance at others. I agree with that, and I think there are more guys that can adjust to the course.

So I bought a set of Bryson LA GOLF shafts and built them up with the forged one length heads from 5 to 10 years ago. I love them. But I’ve decided they are a better fit for two types of golfers. One, being an amateur golfer that can’t hit a long iron consistently. Perfect for them, hitting closer to the center of the club would be way easier for them. or two, a golfer that is like Bryson, almost perfect ball striking lol. For me, I fall in between these two categories, they are too close in gapping, and trajectory varies too highly, when I miss. For recreational rounds that doesn’t matter to me, but I rarely play recreationally.

Im sticking with 620mb and x7 for now. I’m using the Bryson shaft in 3 wood and driver.

Maybe I’ll post some video/numbers of the onelength clubs vs my variable lengths. My goal is to one day soon go into a renowned fitter or coach and do a session comparing the two, and make a video about it.

thanks for following. I’ll keep the set just in case, but for now it feels a bit sad to say I’m laying the concept to rest for a bit.

I’ve done a cobra combo before. It helped a tiny bit on long iron mishits but not enough
