Kingston putters input

I know there are some threads on here about Kingston putters but I wanted some fresh input.  I've been in the market for a custom putter and there's so many to choose from but Kingston seems so easy to order and only takes about 3 weeks.  I was looking into a carbon KP1 with some custom stamping in oil can.

Can anybody share their thoughts on the Kingston experience, and if the performance of the putter is worth it.  Thanks.

There was a thread in the artisan section above but I don't think it has fully migrated over and the search function and google are not helping at the moment. It was nothing but positive reviews for their putters. Honestly I think some of the nicest at the moment even if they are Anser and Anser 2 style putters, the finishing they do and quality too, they make me wish I was right handed. Performance well it's just a milled block of steel, as long as you get it spec'd properly it will roll as well as you can roll a putter.

Wish I could be more help, if I find the thread I'll post it.

I can add some insight.  First off, I have a KP1 welded long neck carbon steel Kingston...

So Kingston has his KP1 and KP2 heads made in batches so that's why the turnaround is so fast.  The heads with a standard plumbers neck will fall in the 348-352g range.  My Kingston finish has held up very nicely and still looks really good.  Overall I love it.  He uses a True temper YSC shaft  in his putters which I think is fantastic.  He doesn't offer a lot of customization from his standard options but his stardard options are really well done.  The one down side is his headcovers have REALLY strong magnets inside them, making it difficult to get the putter in and out without the magnet wanting to grab it.  Minor detail but overall I really enjoy mine.  It's been off and on (more on) my gamer since I got it.

1 important detail if you do buy one is know what face milling you want.  It will impact the feel a lot and can help/hurt distance control depending on what you prefer.

Right on thanks fellas.  You don't really see them for sale on here to often.

I usually take that as a really good sign if you never see putters for sale often, there are 2 on eBay right now and that's the first i've seen some on there.

I've seen a few for sale here and there, more ebay than BST.  He's a small boutique shop, so there just aren't that many of them in the wild.  If you want to buy used, you'll just have to be patient.  If you're like Matt and myself, you'll probably buy 2 or 3 other putters while waiting for a good used one to come on the market, haha.

I'll be buying putters until pigs fly before Kingston has left handed putters as stock options. Funny enough I'm looking at a RH putter on eBay right now to possibly restore for fun and I can't even game it.

My name is Matt and I have a putter addiction.

(group of people in meeting room all say "hi Matt" at the same time).  haha

Kingston doesn't have a lot of options.  I was interested in a KP2 carbon putter and he wouldn't make it.  Said he had to have 40 made and they would just sit there for ages.  So I asked for a quote on 40 putters (expecting a deal of course).  I guess he thought I was kidding because he never replied.  I was serious and was just going to resale like 30 to 33 of them if his price was right.  Had to take my business elsewhere for what I wanted.

I had a kp1 carbon when Kyle first started , great roll and quality, every bit as good as

my bb0.   That was. Couple years ago , his work has only improved.   I should mention, only thing  better than the putter , is dealing with Kyle , great great guy.
