No I haven't played Quail Hollow but really want to. I believe I will find away this fall. I am told it is very long and very hard.

Chef is there this week with Rickie. He said the course is soaked.

So we entered the suite and I did the normal dance around the place pointing out things that a guest should be aware of in their room. I placed the numerous pieces of luggage into the suite. I looked at the Walrus and asked if there was anything else I could do for him. He says that yes the baby needed something to eat and some apple juice. I immediately think yeah sure it's after 11 pm on a Sunday and the hotel kitchen has been closed since 9 PM how am I going to fulfill that request? I had an idea though. I explained to Stadler that the kitchen had closed a few hours earlier, but I would go down and see what I might be able to come up with. I went to the front desk manager and explained the situation. I obtained the kitchen keys. I got a room service cart and dressed it in white table linens. I baked fresh 2 each of oatmeal and chocolate chip cookies from frozen batter chunks. I put two boxes of breakfast cereal with milk on the cart. I got a carafe and filled it with apple juice. I also added fresh fruit. I took it all up to the room. I wheeled it in and said Mr. Stadler I did gather some things for the baby. He said push the cart over by the small kitchen. I asked once again if there was anything else he needed. He said he wanted some crackers and butter. I returned down to the kitchen and once again made a small platter of chips, crackers, and butter. Two trips up this was after the initial run with his luggage.  I placed the cracker platter in the room and presented the check to Mr. Stadler to sign. Back in the early 80's there was not any auto added gratuities involved in the Lodging/Hotel industry yet. Thinking back I believe a gratuity was added only in restaurants for large parties. The guest that I had gone the extra mile for had nothing to give. I watched him sign it and leave the tip box empty. I then expected he would go to the wallet for cash. Nope. He walked to the door opened it and said that is it for tonight. Well in a shocked state I said good night to the Stadlers and went downstairs to complete my paperwork. Wow what nerve I thought. Once in a great while a guest might add on something upon their check out for a specific employee but of course he did not. To this day that night in which I stepped in to help the front desk resulted in one of my all time worst stiff jobs. He knew better, he banking big money, he was on top of the PGA money list as I said. It was inexcusable. Over the next few years at the Kemper Open it has been told that a gallery member would vocally heckle a pro golfer from San Diego. Some say " How does the butt end of the club not get caught up in that 25lb. bag of all purpose flour above the belt buckle coming into the hitting zone? and "No I want the Penne Alfredo and the Lasagna?" were heard on a few holes.  I was warned a few times by marshalls to quit or be escorted out. Yes it was immature to retaliate I know, but that was a fat Zero Stiffarooni of mega proportions.

Oh the baby that night was this guy. I sure hope he didn't turn out tight like the old man.

So my first interaction with a Tour star back in the day did not go so well. Probably should have brought more cookies.

I will beg to differ minus the beg. Agree with everything you said up until 'receivers.' Except for last years TB and one big year R. Moss, and two famous run 10yd crossing route receivers, Brady has pretty much had zilch to throw to. Especially his last two years at NE.  Edit: Forgot Gronk how could I do that. Gonna have to hitch up the wagon and ride it for awhile I guess.

And SF gave up a lot for a totally unproven QB. Hope it works out for both of them but no first rounders in 22/23 seriously hurts.

There is no doubt Brady got the most out of his tools in New England but he also had players that came through big James White single handedly won that game against Atlanta, the debacle and Seattle with defeat certain the compl pete brain fart game I like to call it. Then you have the Belichick defenses of the early years where Brady just had to play flawless football which he mostly did dinking and dunking his way down the field. His best weapon other than Gronk, Welker,Edelman, and White was that offensive line. A great offensive line can make average players ring bearing champs, Mark Rypien, and a poor offensive line can make great Qb's 8-8 like Tony Romo who literally dragged that team to 8-8 getting pounded constantly with a poor line and a terrible defense. I have no real argument against Tom Brady being the greatest  He has earned it. But I do have an argument for him being the most gifted and talented.

So looking back on my vaccication I am realizing again, what I have realized in the past.  While I was digesting my delicious meal, I was forced to spend a little more time in the hotel room than most might when experiencing Sin City.

I don't get ESPN, or any other channels for that matter, so I was kind of excited to convalesce and watch unadulterated sports porn.  It quickly became apparent to me I do not miss ESPN.  The shows are primarily talking about will happen rather than what happened.  Projection simply isn't of interest to me.  Lots of draft talk leading up to the draft, and not surprisingly many of them got them wrong.  To my knowledge the kid from NDSU threw 5 passes in his college career and they were all TDs, and he can run for them too.  Then some guy, with no affiliation to anything would then opine about the "length" or some other ridiculous statistic to explain why this was the guy.

Someone tell me what length is?  Is it height, is wingspan, what is it?  Those who are in the "Association" have lots of length, and it appears to me, they also lots of height.  Are they trying to differentiate for me the viewer that some of the players are TRex and others are pterodactyls?  And if so, can't they use a better term.  It also appeared in both the draft the the association coverage, length also somehow related to jumping ability.  So now I was really confused.

After the 7th time of seeing the same clips I started to become accustomed with the phrase and I just made my own definition up and felt much better for it.

Yeah what could've been if Romo had even an decent O'line. Sorry but the Beast gets stuffed behind the line of scrimmage 😷. Brady did do a lot of D&D cause, besides Moss for a bit, he had no one that could go deep. Plus he doesn't throw the greatest deep ball anyhow. general zip code that's it. And for moi I am a firm believer in there is no GOAT of any sport. To many variables.

Well NCL reacts and snags a replacement player as news the the Hometown man has pulled out the morning of round one.  Chuntsman and jerbear also had Webb and neither was heard from regarding replacements, and add in the fact we never heard from puttinfor8 at all?

What is a commish to do?

Well play golf after work is what he should do.

A brief recap is coming. And one of my clubs is challenging P3P's 7 hybrid for headlines.

We all hope puttinfor8 is doing well and is safe.

As for the other two top of the standings guys one scratched horse means you can't win or lose points for the player who 86'd himself.  First time this has happened and that is my simple remedy.

NCL to you it's nice work sir. Extra keen to be alert and I hope your replacement pick garners the most points for you this week. Just don't tie Q and have your replacement miss the cut.  😆

You ain't in on the Vegas Strip anymore Spike, and I am just dandy with that.

Tee'd it up at 3:15. I was asked to be the teammate of a member to take on a pair of other members. Fine spring weather it surely was. Heavenly and we aren't skiing Tahoe folks. Being the winter golfing warrior that I was makes me more appreciative of sunny warm days with a bright green golf course.

The front side was a battle of pars. Neither team was more than one up. The fireworks would not come until the late innings. My driver was point and shoot reliable once more which set me up with the approach looks I wanted. My putter did not 3 whack remarkably.  Ball striking was solid. Two tasty pitches in close for par saves. Twice I hit my trusty 5 wood to serious birdie putt range late on the back 9. Once from 188 and again from 193. I made both those putts. My partner Mr. H. also made two late birdies. We lit it up late and with the 4 birdies on the back combined shot down the opponent. I shot a 75 today and was pretty jazzed. My 5 wood is the club that has been in my bag the longest. It also is the only club (besides my wedges) that is not regular flex. It has the stock project X (first graphite shaft by them I believe) in 6.0 flex. It has brought me so many fantastic moments from 180 and out since forever. It's been with me for 9 years. Love that smokin' 5 !  It just might have to go enter a shoot out with the Montana 7 h  !!

Indeed. Xander got a new life by squeaking in when the cut moved. He took care of business today and moved up 35 spots to T16.

I am currently

T16 with my X horse

T7 with my AA  horse   (Ancer)

and unfortunately Zalitoris missed the cut.

I might sneak by with an ok week.
