Velocore provides more stability but you likely won't notice the difference. Pull the trigger!

That’s an awesome bag.  If I’m not mistaken it is Callaway’s US Open bag from Pinehurst #2, correct?  I haven’t seen that bag in a while

Ventus shafts without VELOCORE on them are just 'marketing'. The techniology that makes a Ventus a Ventus is absent from these shafts and its just another stock OEM shaft without anything groundbreaking.

 

The shaft is not 'poor' - it's just not 'exceptional'.

Yep. That's it. I got in when I was all Callaway, now I don't have a single one in the bag but I figure the bag stands on its own for the cool factor and no one pays me to advertise so...

Are there other aftermarket shafts that I should look at when getting fitted if I went with the traditional SIM Max instead? My swing speed is barely over the category of stiff flex if that helps at all. I have chronic back issues too so I'm not sure if I want to look at lighter shafts or not.

I just picked this head up and am going to pair it with the USA edition RDX blue. Can’t wait for it to arrive.

Does anyone else find this patriotic golf equipment a bit weird?  You never see a Japanese pride Mizuno release or really any other country doing this.  It’s just a weird place to try and flex national pride.
