A for idea, C- for execution.  With the limited edition Cobra offerings this summer with premium shaft options, this seems a bit lazy.  The bar was previously set and TM didn't even try to jump it.

Not to mention cobra has the real ventus in it, not this "non velocore" not real ventus model in the TM

Exactly.  Real Deal Ventus in Pars and Stripes and a Real Deal Rogue 130 Silver in the Camo edition. 

 

If TM would have followed the "slight-upcharge-but-still-a-value" model like Cobra, and offered this at $450 with a Real Deal Ventus Blue.....

I like it because its not overkill. But the thing that turns me off is only being able to pick a ventus 5 in stiff. No way.

Stopped in my local Golf Galaxy today, they had a full rack of these.  Kind of tacky compared to the Cobra offering.

Not the first time TM has done a special USA themed driver. I give you the M1 460 TM put out in 2016 after DJ won the US Open.

Definitely not as good looking as the M1 they did. Also doesn’t come close to the pars and stripes either. I will pass. I’m sure in the next week every old guy at the club I work at will have one though.

Agree with the comments about it being no where as badass as the M1. There’s a few design aspects I don’t care for, but the red hue on the bottom toe is very well done.

Actually gotRid of my Pars and Stripes for this. Not really sure but the Ventus Blue/Speedzone was a hook machine for me. Even if it is a made for and what i would have thought would have been to light of a shaft, dispersion and distance were better for me, and really as good as anything i have hit. Go figure. I could do without the little flag but i really like the rest of it. I do tend to really like the merica stuff though. My current bag

Played with it Tuesday and honestly kind of confused. I want to tinker but i hit it so freakin good it was ridiculous. I’m afraid to even blow off the grip and rotate it to square since it lofted it down a click

I guess I don't understand the difference in the ventus red shaft versus the velocore one someone mentioned? I need a new driver and was looking at this, but not at the expense of a poor shaft. Can anyone give some feedback on the shaft please. thx
