Dates for 2021 drivers?

Anybody have approximate dates fro new drivers in 2021? I know it's usually in the first quarter of the year but I want to get fit for one but I don't want to get one a couple months before the new ones comes out. I have an M3 so would a 2020 driver vs 2021 driver be a huge difference?

Titleist's new TS2i and TS3i just came out which is the same pattern release they follow every cycle. Taylormade's SIM was available for pre-order at the beginning of January and released to the public at the beginning of February last year. Callaway had almost the same identical pattern as Taylormade last year and it looks like they are going to follow suit this year. Ping has announced early 2021 for the G425 line and I would imagine Cobra will be in the same ballpark with the RAD SpeedZone stuff. I would start checking stores for demo's around middle of January and focus on getting fit as quickly as possible. I would bet custom order's are going to be very slow with everything going on, so I would think pre-ordering early would be a good idea.

I get my stuff at club champion, you think they'll have most of the new equipment mid to late January?

I would think so. They are really good about getting demo's in as soon as they're available. I would obviously check before scheduling a fit as well. They will probably be able to give you dates for when everything is arriving as we get closer to January.

I hope they don't push the dates back because of the COVID delay.

CC should have most of them around the PGA Show

I got fit at CC in mid January 2020 and they had SIM and Mavrik available for testing.

Good to know! Yeah, they'll likely have most of the new stuff in around the end of January worst case scenario, so I'd book a date to get fit then.

No one is arguing if there is a PGA show, but you are clearly one of those "I want to be right" guys. I am more of a "get it right" guy, but to each their own.

No not like that at all.   I just mentioned it as there are possibly some people out there still expecting to see and hear about a PGA Show.  I'm sure all in the industry knew that, but I bet not every consumer knew that. 

 

And to be clear in case it wasn't.  My comment at the end was to show that I think a virtual PGA Show will be a bust and of no use to most everyone it is targeted toward.

I just enquired about driver fitting at a place here in the U.K. and they emailed back to say new models from Ping, TM and Callaway will be available in Feb with demos to fit at end of Jan.

I haven’t heard any of the companies say what they are going to do. I imagine they will have some sort of presence in some form or fashion.   
 

I don’t think you’ll see anything official from those companies next week.  Embargo dates for most are in January.

As far as I know, TM will not be at the PGA show again next month.  They want to allocate their makertibg dollar’s elsewhere.

It is pretty much Jan end of Jan, first part of Feb for everything.. 

 

If I had money, I could easily see myself purchases three drivers then.. and I already have a TSi on the way..

I know this is the 2021 Drivers thread.  But I could easily make that same comment about iron sets.  There are 3 that could be ordered by by the Middle of February.  Chances are very good at least 2 of them will be.  3 would just seem greedy 🙂

True.. Callaway will release pretty much their entire line all at once. Srixon the same. Mizuno will be releasing some woods... Soon... and they will be stand alone. as the next MP series will not be released till next Sept'ish..

The new Mizuno woods look great, when I saw them a month or so ago, I wanted to run right out the door to our range, but they were samples not demo's.   The driver has gotten better from the ST190 to ST200 and this one takes another step forward IMO.

Ping G425 launch date in the UK is 3/4 Feb. I’ve also been told TM will be available to buy here on 17th Feb. Only know these 2 as it’s these I want to try!
