Phoenix/Scottsdale Instructor

I’ll be in Scottsdale in March/April for a family vacation. I plan on making time for a single lesson while there. I know there are plenty of top instructors to choose from in the area (Stan Utley, Pia Nilsson, Mike Malaska, Lynn Marriott, etc). Who should I choose for just one lesson and why?

One drink and that's it. Don't be rude. Drink your drink... do it quickly. Say good night...and go home ...

Thanks. Recommendation from personal experience or feedback from others?

Feedback from others, watching his vids years ago and good experiences with him on here in the past and personally when ordering/discussing products in the past.  Lots of folks in that area though.

Martin chuck or Jeremy Anderson.  Both personal fiends and among the most knowledgeable instructors out there.  Both excellent at simplifying and pointing you in the right direction.  I have sent several people on this forum to both and have had all positive feedback.

All "tips" are welcome. Instruction not desired.

Just noticed that Martin has GEARS (I was looking at their locations to see what was close to me and in scanning the country noticed this - don’t know how long he has had it and expect it might be a newish thing since he hasn’t used it in any instruction vids).   But today out pops this and if his price includes gears (or even if it is a bit more) this would be well worth seeing him.     Mike granato/Scott Hamilton is the closest to me about a 2+ hour drive and thinking of asking for a January birthday present come spring  (the wife wouldn’t mind a visit to Atlanta too)

Single lesson, just an hour or all-day? Money an issue? If not, I would love to do full-day with Summerhays.

Single one hour lesson. I’ll be there with the entire family, so my wife would kill me if I try for more. I don’t have a limit really on what I’ll spend, just want the best for me.

man, golf is such a rich mans sport. Ridiculous

There are plenty of instructors out there for $100/hr.

For the OP, I want to get a lesson from Milo Lines, I like the way he teaches, and like the way he swings the club.

And he charges $100/hr according to his site.

Is his rate correct in my link?

yes, with a little bit of variance depending on the schedule. 100 - 125 has been the typical rate.

when I looked a couple years ago it was like 3-400 per hour.   Nevermind

He advertises himself as a pga tour coach so probably his way of saying I don’t need the business but if you’re wealthy then come on down.

who else does he work with besides Tony finau? Always thought hunter Mahan should go to him.

anyway, these guys probably make more money giving lessons at their rich country clubs vs pga pros

You need to see Jeremy Anderson.    Best coach I have ever worked with.  He is so knowledgeable about the swing, equipment and anything to do with golf.

Took a 3hr lesson from Martin Chuck years ago when I was a 13-14hcp and unfortunately he did not help me at all.   Seems like a lot of the positive feedback comes from better players.

I have worked also with Andrew Getson for a few years when he was not super expensive.  Helped my game a little but was unable to take me to where Jeremy has gotten me.

Took a few lessons from Kostis as well but did not find him super helpful.
