Need a few ideas for places to play around Concordville/Chadds Ford, PA area

Will be in the Concordville/Chadds Ford, PA area next week.  Looking for a a place or two to play that is in good/excellent condition.  Have played Loch Nairn and Wyncote a little further west, but was thinking maybe Broad Run or White Clay.  Other suggestions?

Glen Mills.   No brainer

White Clay Creek + Rock Manor are in excellent condition right now.  
White Clay is challenging, so generally it's easier to get a tee time there. 
Rock Manor has become very popular, so it's harder to get tee times there, if 
not in advance.      
 
Broad Run + Glen Mills are good choices, but I don't know current conditions. 
 
Inniscrone in Avondale is interesting and challenging.  I Don't know the conditions.

Thanks for all the recommendations.  Played Rock Manor and Glen Mills.  Went off as the fist group for each and the conditions were great on both.  Greens were phenomenal at Glen Mills.  Fairways at both were outstanding.

 

Rock Manor was a relatively straight forward with shot placement and greens.  Glen Mills is one tough course.  Probably one of the toughest I have ever played.  Gorgeous course with lots of elevation and undulating fairways, multi-terraced greens and some holes with very tight fairways, but also some of the largest greens I have every played.  Will definitely play both again.

Glad you played GM. That would have been my recommendation if I had seen this post in time. 

 

A couple of the greens at GM are a little goofy (like #8, for example), but I always enjoy playing the course. Great layout. A real test.

Apologies for bringing up an old thread but playing Loch Nairn for the first time tomorrow. Any thoughts? Looked at the scorecard and first thought was the mammoth par5 4th hole haha. Any comments on greens, conditions, things to look out for would be great. Very much a beginner golfer over here but steadily improving and looking forward to testing myself on a new course!

Loch Nairn is a good value.  Greens are usually a medium speed and soft.  
I played it 2 weeks ago and it was in good condition.    The par 5 #4 is long, 
but not tricky.   There are a number of short tricky holes, like #5, 7, 12.   
 
FYI, it is supposed to close after 2022, bought by the Township, who wants to 
make it a park.

Good/Great conditions all-around.  Great value.  $45 w/cart mid-week for 18.  I’ve played here a few times and have enjoyed.  On hole #2, you need to be left of center in fairway to have clean shot at the green.  #4 is long, but reachable with a decent drive and second shot.  Most fairways are wide and forgiving.

So I played there today. $44 with a cart for 18 holes, worth it. 1120am teetime so it was a little wet and then became really humid & muggy but the course was enjoyable and in good condition. I also heard it's meant to close, probably the main reason the cart paths are a disaster! Will definitely be back in the fall when it's a little cooler and we get lucky with the weather!

I’m from west Chester and will go to Jeffersonville just past KoP sometimes. Fun track, not super pricey, good condition. I’m a big fan of walking and it’s a lovely walk. As far as ones in the area you said, most have them have been said already.

I drive past there going to my in-laws every Sunday and it always looks in great shape. Definitely on my list of places to play.

I know it's a little late but Broad Run, Rock Manor and Glen Mills are my favorites in the area, Wyncote if you don't mind a little drive.  Haven't played White Clay because I've heard it's so challenging that it's not even fun.

If you like Broad, Rock, GMills, you should like While Clay.   
WCC is tighter, but there are some layup holes and it's not long from 
the white tees.   It has a good practice area (included) and usually better
conditions.

Good to know, I'm a member at Hartefeld but like to get out and play the other courses every now and then.  I went to the casino last night and it looks like it's in amazing shape so I'll probably give it a shot before the year is over.
