Makes sense why they are coming out in wides also.

The Next% are already wider in the forefoot area than the ZITs. For me and some others, one of the problems with the ZITs was that they felt like someone was standing on my toes, and not that my foot was being squeezed from the sides. I have narrow feet, so a wide in the ZITs wouldn't have helped anything.

Brooks has been asking for a running shoe with spikes.   That appears to be what this is.  If I could find a Nike infinity run with spikes, I’d buy all of them.

I hated the black ones I saw at GG but also hate black shoes. They felt and looked incredibly cheap.  That said, I love the look of the blue/pink ones.  If they are comfy, I’m in.

I just purchased Air Zoom Victory Tour 2's in 10.5 and i feel like the toe section is more narrow than I am accustomed to. If I were to order a 10.5W is the entire shoe more wide or certain part of the shoe? I love the look and feel of them otherwise, but trying to get the right size. I haven't worn Nike shoes in a couple of years.

So, I got a chance to play a few holes in them yesterday. I will say, they’re COMFORTABLE. But, as I suspected, not that stable. I mean, they’re fine, but almost feel loose in the heel area. Like I could take the shoe off without untying the laces. They felt like wearing running shoes to golf. Also, the side of my right foot is a little sore. YMMV.

Playing 18 in them later today so hoping they break in a little. I’ll update this tonight or tomorrow with more thoughts.

A golf shoe based on a running shoe makes little sense - running shoes have no lateral stability. At least there's some logic to basketball/court shoes as the basis for a golf shoe.  But Nike's golf shoe designers haven't been much for logic lately.

Curious if some here are just wearing Nike shoes regardless, and sometimes just take best available.

I did when I first came back to play 8/9 years ago. I have since ventured off to see what else is out there and may never buy Nike golf shoes again.

IMO, they are way off in comparison to the competition these days.

It’s not like a Nike can’t make enhancements.  No clue if they did here, but if stability was needed in a running shoe, I’m pretty sure Nike could find a way, if they wanted.

I own and wear mostly Nike Golf stuff for the sheer fact I have 3 Outlets and 3 Clearance stores within 30 minutes of me in all directions. I rarely ever buy from NDC or pay retail price for Nike.

When my wife and I buy stuff from the pro shop or etc were always looking at other brands.

Talking shoes specifically; FJ and GFore have actually been coming out with some very sporty looking designs the last two cycles so they are on my list to try and find on sale.

The past year of Nike offerings made me look elsewhere. I went with Gfore the past few months but that experiment is over. The Gallivanters just hurt my feet and the Mg4 tore on the inside heel after less than 10 rounds and they won't do anything about it. I just ordered some new Puma Alphacats to try.

I am interested in the Next% but not the 2 basic colors. Those are awful. Look like something my 60 year old middle school gym teacher would wear. The blue and pink colorway is sick. But who knows when that makes it way here. I had to buy multiple Zit colors via ebay because they weren't released here. I feel like Nike is just using all of their junk colors and materials because the nike fans will buy anything at this point.

i ordered as well.  doesn't look like the blue/pink will be coming to GG or Dicks, so went ahead to try them out.

why would i wear anything else is a better question. Bang for the buck, Nikes blow away everything out there. Of course it helps to be able to visit the ES (now known as the CS or company store) often.

i also have access to the adidas (**gasp**) company store, but they never have the golf shoes i would consider in stock when im there - and i dont have near the access i get at the nike es.

although i must say, the golf section has been really lacking the last 4 trips to the nike es. No shoes at all. Barely one wall section (8’x11’?) of golf clothing.

the only time i buy retail price is for j’s.
