Looks like mine is arriving tomorrow...Until then, here's another article with up close pics...

https://golfweek.usatoday.com/lists/golf-clubs-pxg-gen4-fairway-woods-hybrids/

That pic makes it look like it sits really closed. Let us know if it does. May help me decide to not demo it.

Wouldn't mind seeing how it sets up .75 and 1.5 delofted.

Tell her to fix their tracking.  Every and I mean every package from. FedEx that I have received for at least the last 6 months has missed their delivery date.  Most move to Potentially Delayed once they miss the delivery date while others get updated with some other reason.

I have told her about the complaints on this website and what is happening. Lol

Check forums where users are waiting on their Google Pixel 6/Pro orders to arrive via FedEx.

They are getting delivery delay notices and they are not happy about it as most were planning to spend the weekend to set it up and try it out.

I would not want to be a Customer Service Rep for FedEx as I am sure they have run out of reasons why packages are being consistently delayed.

For awhile FedEx was using weather as a delay now they just show “Potentially Delayed” with no explanation why.

Tell her to search “FedEx Delay” on Twitter to get some real time feedback on how they are doing.  The list goes on….

I've got 3 golf related packages on the Fedex truck out for delivery today, all on time and the PXG item actually a day earlier...All this moaning about Fedex should be taken to another thread about "Fedex sucks" or something and we can get back to talking about the XF fairways...

Well, the time has come...Its definitely a bigger head front to back, heel to toe, top to bottom and does sit a bit closed on standard...Face is shaped differently, topline is thicker and the AVP appears to cover a slightly larger area...Comes with a 15g in heel and 2.5g in front...Running out of free time today, but plan on dropping in my gamer shaft and getting some comparable performance numbers on a simulator tomorrow and give it a go on Saturday at the club...

Interesting. It seems that at 1.5 deloft (14.5) it appears to sit pretty square...?

Yes, it moves it to square IMO. Its almost like they took the 0211 shell added in Gen4 tech and produced the XF fairway line.

Well now I'm excited to demo it tomorrow with my gamer shaft. If it keeps launch and spin up while sitting square at 14.5 AND doesn't go left then I may have a decision to make.

Stz is still maintaining its presence and I have a ts2 16.5 that I'll turn down to 15.75 to test.

Looking for a fade dominant but forgiving setup.

Dropped my GD AD DI 7 into the XF this morning to get some comparables against the X, both were set at big minus with heavy weight in front. Initial impression, its pretty easy to hit and forgiving off the deck and better than the X on mishits. The XF seems to keep moving through the ball, while the X at time felt like it was digging in. Launch numbers were +1 - 2 degrees higher with backspin being within +300 rpm depending on strike. The XF sits really square at big minus, while the X is noticeably open. Taking it out Saturday for course play, then on a trip early next week for more on course play.

Lovely! I demo it with my gamer shaft in 3 hours.

At big minus, was it neutral in ball flight too or was there still a draw bias?

No draw bias, straight down the middle.

I'll report back later tonight. I LOVE that pxg started the xf at 16. My stz has to he set 1 click low and that puts it at 13.8 loft. Just a bit too flat on ball flight. I want to see a touch more height. The xf at 14.5 could be it.

No go.

Just didn't launch high enough for me and couldn't find strike consistency with it. Tried several weight combinations. Oh well.

Would say in the std setting it is too closed? Seem too big?

Std setting is definitely closed. Big minus, it sits perfectly.

But I just couldn't middle it consistently. Had my stz there and was puring it. Had the same issue with the proto...

Thanks. I love my Proto so maybe this might be a small upgrade reading other posts. Hmm

It's not any bigger looking than the gen 4 x. It just has a deeper face. At big minus it has a very neutral flight. It's less demanding than the proto. It probably just needed a different shaft. But I know what my gamer shaft will be. I just need to find the right head...

For example, I pummeled and centered the proto with a 60ish gram riptide shaft. Couldn't find consistency with my evo2 or ventus blue 8.

If you like the gen4 x but occasionally hit it left then the xf will be a great club lofted down. I don't really think it compares much to the proto....2 very different designs.

After today's round, IMO this is one of the easiest fairways to hit off various conditions...Great off tee, excellent off tight fairways, smooth out of rough...The rails really keep the club moving through the thick grass, where the X had difficulty advancing the ball as far down the fairway out of the same type of grass...

snagy, based on the strike pattern on that Gen 4 X 3 wood, that XF version is way overkill in forgiveness for you.  You should send that to me immediately!  😆

Seriously, glad to hear about the ease of use.  I’m thinking about swapping out my X 3 wood for the XF.  I don’t think I’d change out my 5 and 7, those are both money clubs for this old hacker.

Hi. Quick Q as thought it might be best easier than starting a new thread.

Anyone compared the Gen4 0341 (or 0211) vs the TSi3? (3 wood)

I game a TM M6 Rocket (14deg) which I hit miles, but the shaft is too light. I also have a tendency to out the toe, and therefore hit left. As i cant adjust the TM M6 or easily switch shafts, im looking for a new one.

Went for a fitting yesterday and fitter suggested an Aldila Green 75 with a TSi3  - a stock shaft for the PXG but a special expensive build for the TSI3.

I've never hit the 0341 but fits the bill from being able to deloft and open the face (would probably play at "big minus").

Are they similar in spin/distance? (FYI im probably hitting at c100mph clubhead, aim to carry c240yd)

I didn't compare them at the same.time but I put a lot of balls on both.

The pxg is more forgiving. The tsi3 is a rocket. They are very different designs and perform accordingly.

I had a fitting with the XF woods and found them to be very easy to launch when compared against my Proto’s as well as the Gen 4 X version. While I don’t have the Proto hybrid j did end up going with the XF hybrid which was also great in my opinion (this will replace my Gen 3 P 4 iron).  Only issue I found with the new hybrid was the sound with the big weight upfront.
