I ordered a 3 and 5 exotic in reg. stock shaft this summer. I immediately took them to out to play when they arrived and hit them great, not realizing that they were actually stiff shafts! I am so happy with their performance and feel that I am planning on purchasing the driver. My question now is which shaft should I order? My driver swing speed is 85-90 mph.

Nice work Frank! Two weeks in a row.

Here's a question for Andy...

Tour Edge appears to be targeting the "not your casual Joe Golfer" with the Exotics line. Will TE listen to the consumer and start offering a selection of premium shafts to choose from

We are currently considering expanding our premium shaft options with Exotics, however as an OEM it is extremely difficult to decide which shafts and how many options. There are so many good premium shafts currently on the marketplace that it would be impossible to satisfy everyones preferences. If we do expand our Exotics shaft options there will be an announcement on or around the PGA Show in Orlando.

Is the polished face designed to improve performance, or is it only aesthetic? I've noticed some people sanding the TEE's face so that scratches are not obvious--would you mind commenting on this, and does it void any warranty, assuming there is one? I hope I'm not the only inquiring mind who wants to know. Thanks!

What tour members currently have the TEE in their bag? If names cannot be published, how about an estimated headcount.

Are there plans to discontinue any of the current TE product line?

Thoughts about venturing into the putter category with the Exotics name?

New products for 2006?

There are numerous legal tour contract complexities involved which don't permit me full name disclosure on this forum. Some names I can mention are: Tim Clark, Sean O'Hair, Cameron Beckman, J.P. Hayes, D.J. Trahan. None of the PGA Tour players using our clubs in 05 were paid by Tour Edge. They put our clubs in play because they felt like they gave them a better chance to win. We did have a full time tour rep, Andy Harris, and we have resigned him for 06 to an exclusive contract where he will be representing Tour Edge and Exotics exclusively. In 05 he represented several other products in addition to Tour Edge/Exotics.

Everything in the Tour Edge/Exotics product line is going forward for 06.

We are working on some exciting revolutionary concepts in putter technology and when they are finalized there is good chance that they will be released under the Exotics label.

We will have 3 exciting additional new product releases at the PGA Show in Orlando. One of them will be under the Exotics label.

will you add any more irons to the exotics line?

Potentially in late summer/early fall of 06. We have some exciting iron projects in development for the Exotics label.

The Fujikura HL 55 that's one of the options for the Exotics Driver is a version of the shaft you seem to hit so well in the fairway woods. I would suggest trying that shaft and based on your driver swing speed I would stay with the S flex.

I am very impressed by the review that the TEE Driver has received from the single digit handicap people that have hit it. Is the driver advisable for the higher (18) handicap player looking for the straight distance that this driver seems to produce or is it truly designed for the more skilled player?

We designed the Exotics Driver to optimize performance for all categories of golfers. Our design has achieved the highest MOI by far of any driver on the market. The beauty of the Exotics Driver is that when you are properly fitted for loft and shaft/flex combination we believe ( and our testing has shown ) that this will be the farthest, straightest Driver you'll have ever played.

Aesthetic. Sanding will not void the Lifetime Warranty!

According to page 3 in the most recent catalog, the 3 wood carries farther than your driver, so why would I ever need to buy that thing? The driver carry is 251 yards (pg 3), but the 3 wood carries 253 yards (page 5 in 2005 catalog) Whats up?

much love, and see you this spring, The Fidds Crew. :)

The Fairway Wood test results were based on tour level clubhead speed testing and the Driver test results were based on 95mph clubhead speed testing. If you look ast the bottom of the charts you can see the clubhead spped the clubs were tested at. Hence the results. For the Driver we really wanted to know how it performed for a vast majority of golfers as opposed to the smaller category of golfers who hit it tour deep. Call me at TE anytime if you have any additional questions.

As always, I'm looking forward to seing you guys in the spring as well You guys are the best!

Andy!

I'm hearing that the new Exotics driver sets up closed, especially in the 10.5 lofts, while the website stated that they would be up to 1 degree open....Are these just manufacturing tolerances? Was the website mistaken?

Although manufacturing tolerences do exist , the Exotics 10.5* if you put it on a calibrated machine should be square. What most people don't realize is that visually how a clubhead looks is influenced by where the hosel enters the head of the club. In order to achieve a high MOI ( particularly on a 460CC head ) the hosel position has to be back from the leading edge. This can give the appearance of slightly closed on higher lofted heads. The positioning of the hosel where it enters the clubhead is part of the overall design that allows the Exotics Driver to have an MOI that's more than 20% higher than anyone else.

Hope this helps!

Regards,

Andy!
