Interesting that they don't have the 4-way camber sole. Solid chance they are Miura made.

I've spent a long time combing Japanese iron blogs - pretty sure all the Conductor Pro were Miura made. I would guess the Classics are too. I still remember the first time I hit a conductor iron... It was one of the sets that Woosnam used a lot - 41CX... I think. I was wowed. Electric feeling. I think all of them utilized a nice layer of copper, thus the name. Shame that most sets have too much offset.

. The "SX" stamped, played early 90's  by Woosnasm have a smaller "40CX" on them. The offset is also stamped on the hosel. "2.1" across set except for the SW & GW. Those are higher. Also own a later model "41CX", there is very little over all difference, but my read is that offset is 2.5mm straight across. But yeah Maruman's are not super low on offset. Oddly, my 1999 Hogan Apex have a ton more. When I measure heads, 2mm is about neutral where the leading edge is in alignment with the leading edge of the shaft itself.

My understanding is that sometime after 2000, the Conductor Pro continued for a time, but they were then made by Epon. Might be around 2003-2005 that happened.

thanks for the info, guys! The offset on these isn’t too much…maybe a little more than my Tournament blades. Here’s a pic of the 2 iron…not matching but has ‘80cx’ stamped on it. Might be more of a mainstream line??

@Christen_The_Sloop: Am i reading that correctly... JPY430k for the Maruman Pro conductor iron set? (approx USD 4k in the mid-/late-90s?)
...and what's the "(0x10)" suffix .... presumably relates to the number of irons in the set?

@Christen_The_Sloop

That's a great find.

That's what it looks like, for the Curtis Strange model with carbon shafts. Bubble-ear prices😱

130,000 yen for the driver with the "Powertrans22" shaft is pretty eye-watering, as well.

Not sure what the "0X10" suffix refers to. It could be 10 clubs, as many Japanese sets from that time featured a gap wedge (I think Maruman called them P/S wedges EDIT: Maruman mostly used AW instead of P/S) and a SW in addition to the usual 3i-SW.

But I'm not sure.

I'd have thought "1X10" would make more sense, because if I'm paying ¥430,000 yen and 0 x 10 clubs turn up, I'm definitely feeling ripped-off!

That's the carbon shaft. The steel were 250,000. Still pretty formidable.

Nice set of sticks! Here's a set Maruman Conductor Pros that were Miura Forged. These have minimal if any offset. Satin Nickel finish with copper underlay on these forged S20C steel substrates.

Any idea what year were these released? Those look awesome. Miura forged with copper underlay? Wow.

 I'm not sure on when these were manufactured, however they mimic the Miura CB-1002 model.
