You can not lose any points with this play. There is a chance that a few of us will select the same player and in the event that player has the lowest old guy score then all players that selected him will be awarded the 5 bonus points.

For my old guy pic right now i'm going with Mr. Almost 59 that should of been a 59. Bogie last two of three. With bird in between.

This week started out for me with a round at Cleghorn in Rutherfordton, NC. The course is just inside of an hour south of me. It is in my top 5 toughest courses out of the 9 I regularly play. Mike drove up from Lindsayland to join Stan and me. At 11 am under partly cloudy skies and a temperature of 78* with zero wind we hit our first shots of the day. 

Next to the 3rd tee box is a graveyard. I went over and had a few words with Archibald and his wife Mira, nice folks.

One birdie on 17 when I drained an uphill 55 footer.

After my dismal 88 welcome back showing (coming off 3 weeks on IR) the week before I hit the range multiple times and found my swing and short game touch. 

I hit the ball well on Monday and overall my game was pretty solid. I just wish I could have eliminated the 3 putts.

Yeah he had three eagles, two on par 5's and first hole hole in par 4. Bummer he couldn't finish it off.

On Tuesday this week I got to play my favorite course here in the mountains. I last played CCA the second week of April right before they punched their greens. Stan my connection there went to visit his 95 year old father up in Mass. for many weeks. The CC of Asheville is the most difficult track I take on.  

The round started out with cloudy skies and light drizzle. The temperature was 73*. Thankfully the weather continued to improve all afternoon. When we hit the back nine the sun came out and it warmed up to 80*

CCA is also  Par 71.

At 3 PM sharp Stan, Bob, and I smacked our drives down the steep hill from the ledge that is the tee box on #1.   (first photo)

One OB drive caused my only double on the day. 

2 three putts (and that is not too bad for me as the greens here are so difficult)

One birdie when I hit an 7 iron to six inches on #13 a downhill Par 3 that played 148 yards. My shot of the day. (6th photo) 

I ran into a buzz saw. Stan played really steady and had 3 birdies.

I had a few bad holes but outside of that I played right decent. It had been over six months since me and my # 1 golf buddy so closely battled on back to back days playing difficult golf courses. I took the money on Monday and Stan grabbed the cash on Tuesday. Both of us felt it was one of the best weeks we have played together in quite a long time.
