Four of us picked Willy Z with confidence this week doc. On the back 9 today he didn't disappoint. Yeah he can make a mess of the short putts, but the rest of his game is fantastic.   🔥 in Greensboro !

I WD'd and drove the 90 miles home to Charlotte.  😅

 

 

 

We have many greens like this at BFCC. I hate them as they are too hard. Donald Ross greens were not designed to run 12-13 on the stimp.  UGH.

Big improvement from 2/3 of my team today as well. 

 

Billy Ho with a 69 today has settled into T25.

Willy Z with his sexy 66 today moved up 70 spots! and is T39.

Adam the Aussie was flat today and shot an even par 70. Luckily he got into the weekend right on the number -2  T50.

 

....and JT Poston, the guy I dumped last minute for handsome man from down under shot also even par today, but JT's sweet 66 yesterday has him at -4 for the week and T25.

Victim?  Maybe put the ball in a better spot Webb.  Everyone Knows this course only defense is if you hit the ball above the hole.  When you are going bad thats what happens.

Like I said an" incredible ball striker" He was lucky he hit the hole on that long putt it would have gone way by. Putt for dough hit for show.  He better loosen up on the grip a little.  Hold that putter like he's holding a bird in his hands or he will never win much on tour.  Get rid of that grip and putt like Jack and Tiger did.

And you are telling a kid who played his college golf at Wake Forest how to better hold a putter?  C'mon now doc ! 😅  

We all hold it differently and putt with flatsticks of different lengths and styles. Today players experiment and many find something kind of different that works. Think Kuchar.  And even Tour Pros struggle from time to time. We can't all be a Brad Faxon, Loren Roberts, or gentle Ben Crenshaw.

I was born and raised just above the hyphen in force-field in the Nonexistent land!  I find this map to be quite accurate.  I might have added salt/mud stained Subarus with ski racks in Vermont...

That is hilarious. Thanks for sharing Q.  Lobstahs and Lighthouses and cows in the hills are my favorites.  I will be sharing this map with the 6-8 good friends that I know who grew up in New England.    Just awesome !

I have one more catch up recap to get to from a week ago and will try to get that up soon. It was a special foursome and we played at BFCC. 

 

I took today off work to play in Hutch's annual tournament at Broadmoor. I had a blast. I don't normally participate in scrambles any more as they are not my cup of tea but of course have to support my friend's tournament. I am glad I did play today because I was rained out both Monday and Tuesday earlier in the week. There will be a recap coming on my teams performance in the tournament in the coming days.
