When I saw the WITB I wondered if the GBB would still be in there.  He loves that thing for sure.

Probably a dumb question, but why does some tour pro lead tape on putters and irons look like it’s a coating and not strips of tape?  Is it thinner or just extreme wear?  Sometimes you see a strip on an iron, driver or putter and it looks like what you can grab at Golf Galaxy, sometimes it looks almost painted on.

Extreme wear is what I always assumed and thought.

Yeah definitely wear. Lead is soft, and putters don't get any of the bag chatter action that irons get, but instead just get brushed across the ground and taken in and out of headcovers, which over months/years smooths it out.

Watching Kisner makes me want to go look for one of those 8.5 TC GBB heads.

I wish Callaway would release the TD fairway woods like they have done recently with the drivers.

Based on today's tee shot on the first hole, he's still playing the GBB driver.  Moveable weight was a bit more toe side compared to the photos above.
