Miura CB-801

It's been near impossible to find any review videos on the Miura CB-801s. Probably because they are for lefties only. I hit a 7i over the PGSS and ever since then I've been trying to find more information on them. They are also tough to even find a used set. Any lefties out there that game these or have in the past? Would love to hear you experience and thoughts on them.

Correct me if im wrong but wouldnt a review of the CB-301 be comparable as its the right hand version.

I’m curious about your experience with them. Did they meet your expectations? Did you switch from them or do you still game them? What do you hate/love about them?

I’ve tried looking it up and it is possible but I couldn’t find a solid answer. I have watched the reviews on the 301 so maybe that’s the best info I can take moving forward.

Feel is awesome. They are actually pretty forgiving. The only downside was my swingweight was unplayable at like d9. They are thicker than t100 and 620cb in 7 iron through pitching wedge. Why I ultimately switched was I like the tech in something like a t100 or Zx7 over the cb for the miura. That being said, for a traditional cavity, it is very forgiving in 6 iron down. The 4 to me looked pretty small and I figure why not get more help in long irons. Visually, they are hard to beat and feel wise are very very solid.

Thanks for the feedback. Do you go further with your T100? I am town between T100s and Cb-801.

I've played the CB-801 for the past two seasons and had the LH Miura Forged CB before that. The CB-801 is awesome - great feel, reasonably forgiving in the mid and short irons, and the y-grind really helps with turf interaction.  They are a classic forged CB with a few tweaks to add some forgiveness/playability.  I hit the T100 a few weeks ago and didn't find them any more forgiving than the CB-801, and the Miura beats the T100 hands down in terms of feel.  I played several sets of Titleist forged CB's prior to Miura - 690.CB, 695CB, 710CB - the Miuras are just better in my opinion.

As far as I know the CB801 is the same head as the CB301 which i have played extensively. They are great feeling irons, the shape is really good as well. When it comes to forgiveness, these are as barebones classic "CB" as you'll get. This does mean you are giving up some of the advantages that i.e. a T100, i59 or an Apex Pro has - tungsten and more extreme perimeter weighting...this does mean that thin strikes and toe strikes are generally more penalized with the 301/801s from my experience.

As a righty, this is one club lefties get the better end of the stick of imo. Better looking than the TC201 and much lower offset across the board too. A pure classic looking CB that I'd honestly shell out for if it came in righty. Not a fan of how round the toe sections of almost all other irons have gotten over the years.
