I'm interested to hear what you think of them. I hit mine Sunday, and really like them. I spent an hour hitting them next to my 101/201 set in the sim. #s for me were right on... oddly feel in all of them were slightly different. The 101s were a touch more demanding, and as I went down the set, performance wise seen no real difference to the 201s. The 201 presents bigger at adress, but honestly so does the 101 from P-8. The one other thing I would say I took away from swinging them all side by side, was weight. The 502 swings slightly lighter than both the 101 and 201. It's not massive, but it's something I noticed.

Any input on his question? Since you've played both, other than feel that is.

I thought about that after I wrote the comment…. I sold the 100s prior to owning the 501….so I can not make A direct comparison with both in hand.

they will be pretty similar in size from my memory though. the 100/100s are pretty compact.

The 501 and subsequently the 502 will have thinner top lines though.

I am a big feel player, and the titelist stood out as having some really poor feel vs thing like the 501, Apex TCB or my NL PF irons.

The swing weight is something I noticed upon giving them the waggle test in my office yesterday. Noticeably lighter from my 201s...there appears to be a subtle difference of a gram between the 7irons and 4 grams between the PWs according to Miura's spec sheets on their website.  Crazy how such a small change in weight, can change the feel so much.  We will see if it is the difference of swinging an anvil versus swinging a feather today.

It was noticeable when I was switching back and forth. I honestly don't mind something a little lighter, but im sure thats subjective. My #s 6-4 were bang on distance wise between the 201 and 502. First couple swings with the 502 after swinging the 201 went left l, but I adjusted after a few swings.

Went to the range and clubs felt amazing. Distances felt off from my TC201s. Came home to compare my club lengths. 201 on the right 502 on the left. My brand new 502s are .75 inches shorter than standard in my 7 iron and half an inch shorter in my PW.  Not particularly pleased at the moment.

That's a bummer... Guess it's always a good idea to check specs.

I just had to extend an entire set of irons because I realized I built them .75" short, due to my own idiocy. Not saying the idiocy thing applies to you. That's just crummy to have them arrive all beautiful and then be short. Did you just order them in stock form or did a builder fudge up along the way?

I double checked my order and it specified standard length.  So I am not exactly sure what happened.  Moved all the clubs out of my bag and the TC201s went back in.  May be an opportune time to change the shafts over to Project X LS 6.5s I was fitted into with PING i230s.  Le sigh....

Le Sigh indeed. .75" seems pretty drastic of a change for an OEM to make between iron types. That blows. Hopefully it all works out for the best.

Wow... ya that would do it.. just those 2 clubs? Hopefully they get you handled. I would be disappointed also, and hopefully they get you taken care of ASAP. When I had issues in the past, they were good to deal with.

I apologize if I missed this, but for those thinking of doing a combo set in the longer irons (4 and 5) would you go TC 201 or CB 301?

I think you gapping would be off with the 301….. if the502 are anything like the 501….. i don’t think you need to combo…. The 3 iron in the 501 is still a very playable club.

Sent a message through the chat on Miura's website this morning so we will see how it goes.  If I had to wager, they send me a return label and I send them back to Scottsdale to be fixed.

Well, I have chatted with Jordan over at Miura all morning.  Turns out that the length difference comes from one iron set being steel and the other being graphite.  Graphite is longer to maintain swing weights....totally didn't know that.  Now I feel like a huge moron. lol

I'd make whoever built them redo them.  Spend that kind of $ of these irons and they should be spot on.  Inexcusable really for the specs to be that far off on any of the irons.

Is it the angle or does this 4 iron look even smaller than my MB 101's?

Well I'm going to be honest.. I didn't know that either.. Is there something on the site that says that?? That's a big difference in length. You going to stick with those shafts? I've never built a set with grapite shafts, is this normal for most manufacturers?

Heel to toe no. With them going away from the more squared off look, it looks like less club at adress. For my eye the 101s don't make a lot of use of the toe of the club. The grooves almost make me feel like I should be hitting it closer to the heel. The 502s curves are a very modern look for any Miura I've seen.
