A little surprised/confused by the TXG review. He hit them really well, clearly was getting good results off the toe. But didn't seem to love them. The toe shots and results he got with the 502s aren't happening with the 101s. He barely lost anything on pretty toey shots. 502s seem much more forgiving than a true blade, but they didn't seem to think so.

He plays the TC-201.

They described these as some of the most perfect irons they have ever seen or hit.

the 201 just has the split weighting vs the center mass.

That why I get along with the 501 so much better then the 201….. interesting that my other sets are the TCB and NL PF irons, both with the same concentrated center mass….. obviously CBs, but the mass is more centered.

i wonder if you can blend the long iron 501 with the short iron 502…. I don’t mind a little extra offset on the long irons…

Yes, I know. But they compared it more so to the 101. I know the 201 is meant to be more forgiving. I believe the 502 is for a much wider group of players than the MB 101. The comment at the end and emphasis on "these are for a very small demographic" made it seem like only the best of the best could play them. I think an ok player (lets say 3-7 handicap) could game them. That isn't all that small to me. I did go back and watch the conclusion, and am a bit corrected. I missed that he said you don't have to be a perfect ball striker.

Agreed, they should be easier to hit for more players. My opinion is because of a lower CG than the 101.

I'm in the boat. Currently playing 201's but they seem less forgiving and don't feel quite as good as other Miura clubs in my opinion...Looking forward to these arriving this weekend!

The guys from plugged in golf had a similar sentiment…. The 201 just didn’t feel like a Miura.

these 502 irons are on my list. Love my MC501 though.

i still have some CB-501,MB 001 and CB57 I am building out.

think I am going to sell off the TC 201 though. Have them in some really nice Oban Shafts too.

I'm thinking of moving on from my TC 201s as well.  We had a good few year run.  Time to move on to something else.  The life of a never satisfied golfer...

Darn it, now I may have to go back down the Miura rabbit hole.

They are really nice looking irons, I did not get along with the TC201 which was on me for ordering with more shaft than I could handle and the build was way off specs. Still can't figure that one out as the lofts and lies were all over the place and that is unusual for Miura.

Anyway, these are really calling to me, can't wait to hear some reviews.

They are easy on the eye for sure. I actually prefer P-8 in the 502 over the 101 at address. From there they look like a more refined MP20 to be honest. I can only hit them inside, but I might try and hit them tomorrow. I'm glad they got rid of the offset. I actually really wanted a set of 501s until I seen them at address.

I think after I hit them, I'll have a better idea of how to answer that. Visually the 201 presents a little bigger footprint, touch more offset, and thicker top line, so from a visual aspect it might fill you with a little more confidence. The only thing I would say is they are very different looking irons at adress. 501 is a much more rounded look, so if that wouldn't bother your eye, I think that combo would work. I'm going to hit some balls with them today, so I might know more later.

Ah good haha, I was guessing 3 or 4. Having had the TC201, CB301 and IC 601 which was a throw away dismal iron, these certainly look the best and the mass behind the sweet is confidence inspiring to me.

Still not sure I could realistically go back to this serious a club and make them work, maybe a degree or two strong.

Just don't have the SS anymore, but darn it they are nice.

Anyone know the current lead times? I ordered mine on Thursday. I know the site says 4-6 weeks, but was just curious if that’s what you guys have seen.

These irons are so sexy I am hesitant to hit any range balls with them...will get some initial impressions at the range tomorrow. No launch monitor available so it will have be an eye and feel test.

Can anyone compare these to the Titleist T100’s as far as size of the head and forgiveness?
