The part about hitting the middle of the green and finding my ball 30 yards away down a slope, short sided, etc, etc. is one of the things I liked least about playing out there. I suppose that's part of playing a PGA tour level course is getting breaks like that.

It is only $125 for Frisco residents during the week so not terrible.

The only benefit I can see is that there is now hard proof that a lot of people have more money than brains.  All that money for a semi-private.  But, my buddy's wife is employed there, so there is that.

There’s a lot I like about the West course, but the 9th hole is the worst hole on the property. Not really long enough to be a par 5, so they artificially stretch it out with a giant bunker. Nearly everytime I’ve seen somebody in the bunker, it takes them two to get out. Almost nobody has the 60-yard, 40-foot uphill bunker shot in their bag. So inevitably the first shot ends up about 2/3rd up the bunker, with just a massive amount of sand and often times in a footprint from

the last guy who did the same thing. 
 

Oh and if you are going for the green in two, landing just on the green likely means your ball ends up through the green on the other side of the cart path, unless you have the trajectory of Jason Day.

That is a tough one as they are different courses in my opinion.  I think both of the PGA courses resemble more of the Canyon course over the Oaks course.  That being said i think they are all fun to play and i like the option of not needing a caddie or fore caddie to play the SA courses.
