Playing tournament at Grayhawk, where else should I play?

Playing in the barstool classic finals in late november at grayhawk. 2 day tourney. Flying in 3 days before. Where else should I play? Any go to public courses? Private courses I should try and get on? I have some decent private connections just not sure where to go

There’s lots of information/opinions on this forum, but generally the best options are We Ko Pa, Troon North, Southern Dunes, and Quintero for public. For private, anything high end will be great. That would include courses like Whisper Rock, Desert Mountain, Desert Forrest, Estancia, etc.   There are bunch of mid level and entry level clubs that are nice too, just depends on the course.

We Ko Pa, Troon North, Papago, Talking Stick, Whirlwind, Phoenix CC, Gainey Ranch, Wickenburg Ranch(not Phoenix area but worth the drive)

We ko pa, southern hills, and troon north were our favorites the last time out. We also played the stadium course which I would skip the next time around. Outside of the fact that the pga tour plays it annually, we really didn’t think it was anything spectacular.

That Barstool Classic is the ultimate Jabroni bro golf! I was chuckling doing my morning run 7:30ish and to still see guys out there after dark. Ain't no hobby! Had to be 6 hour rounds.

Riggs said they were 5:45 for 2 man best ball, in carts.

Sounds about right. That is horrible. Course should play at 4:15-4:25. Maybe they pushed the Ain't no Hobby too far.

Some groups played that pace. Pace my group played was just over 4:30 for both days. As for jabroni golf, to each their own. My partner and I had a great time, and there was some seriously good golf being played there. Sounds like jealousy from you my friend. Have a good day

Sounds like you proved his point with such a retort.   Plus it doesn't even make sense:  Why would he possibly be "jealous"🤨?   Hopefully you made it home in a timely manner!

so over 110 groups in tournament play cannot take more than 4:25 according to him? Because every USGA event for ams takes close to 5 hours if not more, and this tourney had a 10k cash prize and skins.

10k is crap considering what you guys paid to play it. You might want to call out Riggs since he is the one calling out the groups for horrendous slow play. I saw it for myself how long groups were out on the course if you read my initial post.
