Hovland's doing just fine with his cut swing.  The kid(Veerman) hit's the ball a loooong way even with a cut swing.  He has status on the DP World Tour.  Saw him hit 181 ball speed earlier this year on TV.......

Not as fast as you obviously, but fast enough for a tour pro.  Remember, these guys are swinging 80-90%.  They can squeeze out another 5 mph if they really want it.

There are a bunch of guys on tour routinely cracking 190, and a handful who crack 200.  Pointing out a 181 seems weird.

In 2022, Cameron Champ led the tour in ballspeed at 188.94 mph. 181 would put you 13th on tour. No one’s regularly cracking 190, let alone 200, during tournament rounds.

I think dude is talking averages vs outliers here. Sure, dudes are cracking 200mph on occasion. The same dudes are hitting ~170mph at other times. Averages out to the high 180's or low 190's at the very top of tour performance.

Plenty of 195+ on tv from guys like cam young, cam champ, and Bryson.  Lots of dudes on kft pushing those numbers too, just not as visible.

 

Routinely cracking 190 doesn't mean averaging 190 over the course of a season amigo.

Enjoy watching Veerman, and agreed he's faster than most.  181 mph is no joke.  Looking forward to watching more golf and seeing 200 mph as per the above poster.  Just imagine being able to hit the ball nearly 30 miles an hour faster than the average.  HUGE advantage.  These 200 mph guys must be regularly blowing by their opponent by 50-60 yards off the tee.
