When you're a tour player and you only need the thing to get you through 4 rounds before you toss it in the headcover pile velcro's good enough!

I tend to not think outside the box..how would i use a RH headcover for LH mallet?  I even thought of buying a few, cutting it up to get the shaft slot on the correct side..then having it stiched back up by a shoe repair shop.

There was actually a YouTube video on it one time and that’s how I learned. Grab you a stock one to try out before you spend the cash. If I recall you putt the putter in toe first and it lines up. I’ll see if I can find the video

Don't disagree at all, but my somewhat snarky comment comes from truth - these guys will just cast these aside for next week's commemorative putter cover.  Free to them, doesn't really matter if its made to last or not.  But to someone who pays the exorbitant amounts they charge for these things in the custom shop it does matter, and it should.

 

The JYD cover I've got from when I sent in a putter to the custom shop for refinishing looks kinda like sh*t despite not being used much.  They could do better but the fact they don't betrays a bit of comtempt for their customers, IMO.

I guess it's what ever you call exorbitant amounts. I've paid for some headcovers I should have buyers remorse on but I didn't spend over what they are worth for resale. Cheap or not these hype beasts who are snagging up all the releases are keeping the value of Scotty up. Which means his classic headcovers are worth even more. If that wasn't the case then I'd agree more on the value of how the headcovers are made. But it's a numbers game and he is swimming in profits. His yupoong brand hats are 9 bucks from Amazon,  can't imagine how much he pays for them before branding.

So weird he still uses velcro.  Some of the covers are cool but I wouldn’t want to use it knowing the velcro will go bad
