Thought Europe would stack the first couple of matches to get early wins and ease pressure on those struggling a bit.

I think we have, Grant, Maguire and the way Charley played yesterday, couldnt be much stronger. That first game will be massive on how the rest pan out im sure. 🤔

It's setting up for a career ending sole crushing shank or yippy missed 3ft putt for Lexi to lose the cup. There's a good chance she gets bailed out by her match being meaningless though. I expect the US to get 4 points in singles

Team Europe are favourites with the bookmakers to win. I agree and expect them to win. Apart from the first session Europe has done well in every session. Maybe as some other have pointed out that the 4-0 lead from the fist session has made the match seem more competitive than it is.

Time will tell but it's still very close either way.

Even a chip/pitch that ends up with a good result looks completely by happenstance.  It's an ugly move to say the least. She has the same motion when she essentially shanks a short putt. I predict a win for the USA today. They just look a stronger team, and I think they'll be super motivated. They're still kind of underdogs so less pressure, and the first day will have given them confidence.

Leona 3 under through the first 5 holes and she's only 1 up vs Rose Zhang after Rose won the first with a stellar chip.

 

Epic match with the previous world #1 world amateur in weeks at the top (Leona) vs her usurper (Rose).

It might not have been a "shredding", but it's easy to pile on Lexi considering her many past hiccups in big pressure moments. Would the media have asked that question if it was Leona or Carlota, or Nelly?

Probably but for TV viewers it is.  That stupid music, playing in the background, could easily be blocked out electronically for the over the air broadcast.  If it's just on the first hole fine but being in he background on every hole is annoying.  LIV golf does the same thing which, for me, makes their TV unwatchable.

Agree, and throw in Madelene Sagstrom as well.

EKP was 3-1-0 in 2021 Solheim, taking down DK in the last singles match. That didn't seem to do much for her confidence, but who knows.
