yeah it does. I do this on half the holes haha. It will just default you with a two putt and the flag in the middle of the green. It does help if you are a bit more meticulous about it cause it will be less editing post round.

That is definitely a downside.  I have to be really careful to make sure I'm gripping the club correctly each time.

Yep 100% agree, I have had a few times, especially with the driver, where I didn't even realize I was slightly gripping the sensor until I'm at the top of my swing and feel it give a little bit.

I prefer ShotScope but neither is perfect or even close to it.   I don't obsess over making sure every stroke of every round is captured correctly, I'm more concerned with my distances, misses and overall review of how I played the round.  I have had some rounds where 99% of the shots were recorded correctly but most of the time I'm missing 5 - 10 shots a round, most as stated above when I choke up on a club or I putt from off the green.  The data overall is great because it tracks your distance with each club, and miss tendencies.  I've noticed on approach shots my miss is short, so now I'm taking an extra club into the green and that's improving, though my misses left and right are going up but so are my GIR.  

 

I've broken a few tags, and if you swap clubs in your bag a lot it's a hassle to remember to move the tags.  With the X5 watch ShotScope is the least invasive, and works the best

I really wish arccos would do a half-year subscription. I live in Western NY, I'm not going to need to use it in December.

Shotscope is terrible customer service. My v3 does not work properly (goes back to Home Screen and bluetooth connection breaks constantly and spontaneously) and when I email customer service, it has been 9 days and counting waiting for any sort of reply.
