I really want to put one in the bag as a driver replacement.  I have came to the conclusion that I just can’t look down at a big driver.  I hit my 3 wood 260+, more in the dry summer.   With driver everything I’ve tried I am just not consistent.  But if I go swing my old 983k it is bolts and way more accurate.  I think if I were to game a 11.5 then I would be more accurate with it vs driver without much loss in distance.  Will be going to test one out when they are available.

You're probably right.  I'm longer than the average player by quite a wide margin, but I'm much shorter than the average WRXer and shorter than a lot of the guys I play with.

 

I meant that in the context of low handicap to plus handicap competitive male am's.

I have a 13.5 300 Series (307cc).  It doesn't play exactly like a traditional three wood, but it's much easier than you'd think.  Much closer to performing like a 3 wood off the deck than a driver.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if a Tour player could deck it with relative ease.

I've played the Original One, 300 and BRNR off the deck. Sure you can hit them off the Ok, but nowhere near the control of a standard 3 wood. I don't see a pro using a mini instead of a 3 wood, unless they are looking for distance.

I’m not paid to play mine. Rather like a Rory’s Nike special wedge-grind I suspect: one- season wonder.

Especially Tommy. He's known to hit 460cc drivers off the deck with relative ease.

Seems like a good option to stay just short of trouble on certain setups. There's been plenty of times I've tried hitting an easy driver to stay short and it didn't end well.

I play a hybrid course 4,500 yds and take 7 clubs.  This might be a great option when I play the course.  Time will tell if it serves me on a regulation course
