FULL CONFESSION: I won't lie to you, I'm a WRXer, it's is IMPOSSIBLE TO SET ANY BAG for any period of time. What you are seeing is just a snapshot in time. Next day, who knows whats going to creep into my bag. In the meantime, ENJOY

And THANKS & KUDOS to all my buds/mates here in WRX, you know who you all are - appreciate all the comments/suggestions/help etc

So get get into this!

CART BAG - 2023 OGIO Woode 15 Cart Bag

Spending time on GolfWRX will send you broke but you will get an absolute bargain out of hanging here. Picked this up recent for 60% off from OGIO. Love this bag. Previous bag was also an OGIO, the 2nd edition of the Silencer stand bag. Bag was still good but starting to show it's age with fading fabric but zippers were all good.

DRIVER - Stealth 2+ with the Fujikura Ventus Velocore TR Red in the 6S flex. Adapter is All-Fit Universal

Stock setting (for now).

Really like the TR Red, thanks to @Avidswampthing66 for the GREAT TIP about this shaft. Been giving me a little more height in my drives and dispersion is UNREAL. All my golfing life I have been a low/low guy but this shaft is a real REVELATION to my driver swing.

I am an All-Fit guy. I just love the ability to change shafts between the Callaway head (backup bag) and my gamer S2+

FAILRWAY WOODS/HYBRID - Callaway Rogue ST LS 3+ 13.5* Tensei AV Blue 65S, Callaway Diablo Edge Tour 15* Miyazaki CKus 43S, Cobra Speedzone 3H 19* UST Recoil, Taylormade UDI 2 iron

Using 2 Fairway woods. The LS is for the 230+ yard range. It's a new addition so I am still getting use to the feel of this combo. Prior 3+ was a Honma 737 13* with the VIzard 55A stiff, this combo was a low bullet and so easy to hit.

The Diablo Edge Tour is from 2012. I consider this one of the best fairway woods made by Callaway. Sound is a solid TING and the small head makes it perfect to hit from almost any condition. CKua shaft was a wild pairing I chose and it seems to fit this 3 wood perfectly with just the right spin and control. Back in those days, Callaway had crappy fairway wood shafts but their heads were great.

The Cobra hybrid. Rescue club. Stock everything, nice easy to hit club. Can't complain

The UDI gives me an alternative to the Cobra. Can hit low bullets and damn straight. Great for tight courses like Sand Canyon GC (formerly Robinson Ranch). Or use it for into the wind low bullets that rolls for those times on Rustic Canyon where the wind is howling into your face on the back 9.

IRONS - Cobra Forged Tec X, 5 to PW with the KBS TGI 85 stiff flex and JumboMax STR8 Ultralite XS grips

Love the TGI shafts but unfortunately, Cobra only offered them in the 85gm parallel tip. My prior irons were the Mizuno JPX921 Hot Metal Pros with the TGI 95s. For now, I am happy the TGI 85s but one day, I may swap them out for TGI 95s.

The Forged Tec Xs are buttery and for a GI iron, it's more like like blades. I think of them as a much improved Taylormade P790s but better looking and flat out perform. No crazy hot fliers either. These are bent 2* flat to cater for my Single Plane Swing.

Clean looking without the chunky look or feel.

One of the better irons Cobras ever made in terms of aesthetics & performance.

WEDGES - Cleveland CBX2 48* TGI 100 shaft and Cleveland Full Face 56* TGI 100 shaft

The CBX2 I would typically use between 70 and 105 yards. Pretty forgiving

The Full Face is my workhorse club. Use for 70 and in and I can open up with this club and utilize the Full Face grooves. Love this club, many birds and Eagles thanks to it.

The TGI 100s pair really well with both wedges. I can practice all day even on mats and not get golfers elbow. Feels like an iron shaft but without the shock and plenty of club head control.

JumboMax STR8s allow me to choke down on the club even more. I think what I also like about these STR8, my grip pressure is a lot less than the PURE grips. Allows the club to flow better & smoother.

PUTTER - LABGolf Mezz.1 with the ACCRA shaft and 1.5 Presse grip. Delilah customized headcover

The Mezz.1 putter is from GolfWRX/LABGolf testing.

Was one of the lucky 10 selected to test this putter and it's been in the bag since. Thank you GolfWRX and LABGolf

Smaller head than my prior Directed Force 2.1 but equally, if not more, lethal.

I also had Delila make me a customized magnestic headcover for the Mezz. I just love the graphics from the Revolutionary war period.

Yep, the Mezz.1 is an American Mezz Revolution

LAST BUT NOT LEAST....

The Pink Panther Driver head cover. It's so old but it's my ODE to the Panther himself. Next to him is the Coca Cola Polar bear Fairway wood headcover, which I think is rare but I love it.

I have to find a head cover for the DET and may be the hybrid as well.

That's it, for now. Thanks for looking

👍 & 🍻

No tipping at all. FWIW, I swing at 105 +/-2 SS. It's really an awesome shaft, better dispersion than the Ventus Velocore (non-TR) Blue and Black shafts that I have.

First time seeing a pink panther and polar bear head cover in a bag.   If I saw you on the course but didn't know you, I could surmise that you're a rad dude hahah.

Great bag set up!  The cool thing about your bag, is that everything in there has a reason, totally optimized to score/play better.  Thanks for sharing!!! 🙌

Thought I would share my Aussie golf bag.

Thanks to @Avidswampthing66 for encouraging me to post this fun & old WITB 👍

I keep this bag strictly in Melbourne, Australia and use it when I am there.

It saves me from flying around with a golf bag especially now that most airlines are charging an arm & leg for checkin baggage

DRIVER

Good old White Lightning 469 long drive head but its a 9* head

I think I bought this in Australia in 2010. It's got a lovely Accuflex VS 339 shaft

This year, coming from a Taylormade Stealth 2 Plus 9* head which sits very open, this driver seems like a draw driver.

It's not, tye S2+ is way, way crazy flat & open in comparison.

The WL head sound is more loud but not obnoxious like Epic Flash, just a sweet ting sound

I don't see any obvious longer or shorter distance since I now use my Voicecaddie T9 GPS to measure drive.

Seems pretty close to what I hit in the States

Fairway is a Ben Sayer 3+ head with a no name shaft. Cheap 3 wood bought in the 1990s

Yeah, 469 non compliant head but who cares, not like I am playing tournament here

WILSON FIRESTICK 2 IRON

I really enjoy this old Wilson 2 iron.

The Firestick is just lovely to look at, even now on 2023. Head is really forgiving but it does have a fair amount of offset though

IRONS

Cleveland Tour Acttion 2 TA-2 irons

I bought these in Goldsmith back in 2003. My first set of American made irons. Shipped them back to Australia in 2013.

Irons are in great shape. TT S300 shafts and heads are old school early 2000 irin lofts

Eventhough my 2023 gamers are KBS TGI 85s I had no problem adopting to the TA2s

Quite lovely really

Overall the TA2s are in great shape but the face o can see the copper coming out from under chrome.

The 3 iron us just LOVELY, hit it so well and now I wonder why I don't have it in my US bag. The weight of the S300 shaft seems to give me good feel of club

WEDGES

Cleveland 52* & 56*. They were my very old gamers way back in the mid 2000s

 20230913_093035.jpg.dcd3c6aedb54b6ad8041c425fe88df67.jpg

I still use Cleveland wedges now sbliet it's a 48* & 56* now

PUTTER

A very old dented Odyssey Rossie II.

Still rolls really good...20230913_093058.jpg.e467e9a04701025e0995ae696d71b66b.jpg

WHOLE BAG & CART

20230913_093122.jpg.220b170a2f1f3f0af1a642816f42632c.jpg

Nothing special, just a Lynx Aussie push cart with a seat & no name mid-size cart bag

Amazing that the Rossie looking down looks exactly like what Jon Rahm uses today on Tour.

And those Cleveland wedges look pretty much exactly like the RTX 6 Zipcore of today, Lol.

Just goes to show how little has changed for putters and wedges over the years. 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️

Yeah, totally agree, nothing has changed much, its all more cosmetics nowadays, IMHO.

I hit my Aussie driver much the same as I hit my Stealth2+ here in the US. May be a tad more forgiving but nothing really major in distance difference

I think the 3 iron and 4 irons and even the legacy Firestick 2 iron are clubs I no longer play here in the US but OH MY, it felt sooo good to play it and still hit it surprisingly well to the Par 5s or long Par 4s.

Lovely

I bought them for the looks, so sweet and "retro" lofts compared to todays irons. Nothing wrong with 'em and still getting a lot of love while I am in Aus 👍
