PXG M16 Putter Shaft

I'm still using mine. I did paint the chrome part matte black to change the look, but I really love the look and feel of the shaft.

HOWEVER....this shaft is phenomenal from distance. I think the biggest difference this shaft will make (and likely all graphite putter shafts) is 3 putt avoidance with the mote frequent longer putt dropping. Putts from 25+ feet were always withing kick-in range and I made several 40+ footers. I really like this shaft on longer putts.

Anybody with new comments on these types of shaft?  I have an Odyssey R Ball (similar to the 2 ball) with the Stroke Lab 2 piece carbon/graphite/weave dbl bend shaft.  And the std Micro hinge face insert.  I don't particularly love the feel at impact but the distance and speed is great.  I need to adjust the lie more upright because my arms are so long my hands are closer to the ground.

I would say the m16 is significantly more stable than the stroke lab.  I haven't heard too many amazing things about the stroke labs over the years.

Battle Ready 2 Bat Attack with M16 shaft and the Straight III grip. I’ve played various stroke labs, retro fit All in UST, a Ping graphite too I believe. The PXG is the best. Just great stability and feel. My putting has improved significantly.

I have a custom Mack Made with a BGT Stability Tour. Wanted to try the M16 for a more traditional look. Everything everyone has said about feel, distance control and consistency seem to be spot on. I cannot tell if there is a tingier sound or if I was just hearing it because I was trying. It wasn’t as bad as the video, but there might be a ting to it. I never paid attention to the BGT, so I reshafted it with the BGT and will test and see.

I had an M-16 Shaft installed on my BR Closer about 3 weeks ago

 

1st of all this was a nightmare getting my putter back from PXG

They sent my putter to someone else and his putter to me.

I finally get it back and it had the wrong grip on it, PXG had to send me another grip ( they did not overnight the other grip and I still haven't gotten it, but it has shipped)

After all of that nonsense, the shaft is great in my opinion, I love it

The putter feels more stable, I am closer on long putts, with fewer 3 putts, and there is no sound difference from before with the new shaft on it.

The biggest difference for me is with the previous shaft, I had a 25g counter weight in the grip, with the new shaft I have not had to put that weight back in.

I am so mad at PXG that it would take an act of Congress to get me to order anything else from them right now, but I am glad I had the shaft installed.

If you are on the fence, I say do it

It was around $120/$130 after all of the shipping

The only good thing was PXG was done earlier than expected 

I also like the look of the putter with the new shaft on it, I feel more confident in my putting. 

Can't ask for more than that

Reporting back after going from BGT Stability Tour to PXG M16 to BGT Stability Tour, there was a definite sound difference. The M16 definitely had a ting to it versus the BGT more muted. The M16 performed great and the ting wasn’t as pronounced as the video and I wouldn’t say it was annoying. It may be the same as an all steel shaft, but I’m just used to the soft/muted sound of the BGT.
