Preowned drivers for sale

I read the BST forums and notice the various drivers for sale.  I see plenty of Callys, Ping and a few other brands for sale.  But, I don’t see that many Taylor Made for sale.  Are the players who buy TM that satisfied , and just don’t sell, or are players not satisfied with the current brand.  Am I all wrong or seeing it incorrectly.

There was a post a few days ago asking why so many Stealths for sale. Now this saying not many are for sale. 

 

What's for sale on the BST ebbs and flows. You can have an influx of one club one month then not see much the next.

As MattM97 said, there was an influx the other week of Taylormade drivers. So they’re probably all in new homes now in honeymoon periods. They’ll be back judging by what my coach has said about stealth two - basically same as last year, people come in to try it and something else suits them better with Callaway and Ping being the ones that seem to be moving in large volumes.

I think people are really starting to figure out there isnt that much difference between new and last years model. Not even more then last years model. Ive played a 10 yr old nike driver doing just fine. Small forgivness changes. Different shapes colors. A touch more ball speed but still the same distances really. Ive seen lower ball speeds go further sometimes.. so what does ballspeed even really mean? Ricky fowler also said ball speed is not everything. Factor in some brands and models within brand just fit ppl better. I might hit the 2019 model better and further then the 2024 model because something about that model just meshes better with me. I think thats why we see alot of pros have older clubs in the bag sometimes. They have clubs that cant get any better then and just fit them perfect and they know it but have to play current stuff because of contracts. We have fun testing and trying but after we see its not different or worse i think we wonder why we keep spending and searching. Its getting tiring.. time to just play with what works maybe.

Keep in mind if you go on a random day and count the number of such-and-such model for sale on the BST your count will over-represent slow sellers. A really popular club might sell and be taken out of the listings within hours of being posted while an unpopular one might linger for weeks or even months.

I haven't noticed much difference in any driver heads for the last 5 years. So lately I've been buying different shafts instead of drivers. It is crazy that everyone keeps buying a new driver every year, myself included.

You’re correct, heads can make some difference, but shafts are the engine.  But, which one?  So many options!
