The XV is already high compression and you wouldn't really find anything that is longer outside a ball that optimizes your numbers better.

If the XV was a little softer and gave me a little more distance, it would be the Perfect ball for me. I'd never even think about switching!

Like I said before, the only way you gain distance by switching from the XV is if another balls suits you better. In an objective test the XV will be as long as any other high compression ball. As to you wanting something a little softer I think the Z Star Diamond feels softer than the XV while having the same compression. Might be worth trying.

I have played the diamond and it is a great ball but i now play yellow cause they are much easier for me to follow. Sadly the diamond is not in yellow which doesn't make sense to me

The Chrome Soft X LS may be a touch longer off the tee but the XV will spin more around the greens. Maybe even the ProV1 which is softer but is pretty long off the green and would have a bit more mid iron spin.

Things with balls it's about pulling levers, you want more distance then you'll lose something in another area.

Right and thats why i usually pick a ball starting from the green because thats where you score. So i like more greenside and short iron spin and control. The XV for me is probably as close as ive come to distance and Spin. Just thought if i could find a bit more distance without losing the other, then i would have found the perfect ball for me. But as it looks the XV is the closest im gonna get. And its really crazy as my 95SS really isn't enough to compress that ball and get out of it what its capable of doing, but it flat out works for me.

Yeah and if there is anything you gain it won't be much especially if you like the spin around the green. Funny enough for me the XV was the opposite, long off the tee but lacking around the greens.

But honestly just stick with the XV, price is good, often on sale and high quality.

I mean the XV has good enough spin for me (ive got use to it now) but sure i could use more soin around the greens than what i get with the XV. But again the XV is probably the best ball ive played in a very long time

But i just wish srixon would make it in yellow

Email Srixon and air out your grievances then.  Wouldn't hurt.  XV is a great ball.  My only gripe is the cracked seam issue which I experienced.

Ive never once experienced any seam issues with any srixon ball ive played. But i guess i don't swing hard enough for that. As for me id put srixon Durability up against any of them. But again i don't swing hard enough to crack a ball.

Made the switch from XV to Tour BX haven’t looked back. It is the best equivalent that I’ve tested. Maybe the Chrome Soft X should be up there too. But either way best thing to do is go out buy a couple sleeve balls and test you know what feels you like better than anyone

I have played  the B XS but haven't tried the BX

I generally play the TP5X and the Srixon XV is my second choice.  I've found the TP5X to have a bit more spin and slightly better feel around the green.  I've liked the XV when it's windy or cold and I'm trying to really limit sidespin.  But if the greens are really fast and firm I have more trouble controlling the XV.  So maybe give a sleeve of the TP5X a try?

I wonder if the QST is basically the same but softer? Looks as though the QST has quite a bit of Spin to it.

The QST will be 20-25 compression points softer resulting in a tendency of lower spin/ball speed.

As previously mentioned, the Bridgestone Tour B X and the Callaway Chrome Soft X will likely be closest so you can try those to see how they fit, but I would not expect much difference with respect to distance (the highest compression multilayer urethane balls from the big 5 OEMs will all be very close to the max ball velocity and ODS limits so there is not much to gain here).

Well ive tried the CSX and hated it. Haven't tried the BX only the B XS. But if this be the case then id just as well stay with the XV unless the Bridgestone BX helped me someway.

I played 18 today and i started out with the Diamond to try again. I did have my longest drive of the day with it (265) but the Diamond just seems like a club short for me on irons. Not sure why that is but i switched back to the XV after few holes and went on to Shoot a 77. I really want to like the Diamond but im just not sure if its the extra iron spin or what causing my irons to be short. It could very well just be me. I know im using a Gps watch and sometimes i think it throws me off cause im not sure that thing is All that accurate. I need to try the diamond one more time but use my RF for yardage and see.

For myself I didn't notice any distance loss with the Diamond but it does spin a lot more with my wedges (full shot and partial). I'll play them both this weekend to confirm.
