The NBA is such a joke.

I bet! Similar experience here regarding the Warriors. Man, they were fun to watch. Sadly it’s the end of that era but grateful for what they accomplished, not bummed for where they are now.

You’re not bummed because Curry is still great and with a little luck and good management they could be legitimate contenders again. I started watching the Celtics in the mid 70’s and admit I was beyond spoiled watching the Celtics (all NBA to be honest) of the 80’s. The state of the Warriors is similar to what the Celtics had at the end of the Bird/McHale era. Then the 90’s happened and we plummeted to the NBA’s basement. Things could have been a lot different here if not for the awful tragedies of Len Bias and Reggie Lewis but life was cut short for both young men and we’ll always wonder what if?

Yeah, IDK about that. Curry is def still great but is not getting any younger. Klay is most likely gone (and even if he stays, 0-10, zero points in that play in…😳) and word is here the the organization is finally at their wits end with Draymond. Which is totally understandable. 4 ‘chips in 7 years… I’m happy saying it was great and over. Most organizations won’t come close to that run. So all good. 😊

I’m not talking another extended run, just a 2-3 year window where they can milk the final greatness out Steph. I can see moving on from Green and Thompson definitely is not what he once was but they have cap flexibility (Paul’s contract), pieces that people will want (Looney, Green), and desirability as people still want to play with Curry. Some luck and a creative GM and they could muster one more legitimate run. After that it will be bleak.

And don’t forget Jonathan kuminga. He really impressed me this season. I see him becoming a star. Jackson-Davis is also an absolute stud… Okay, one more lil run, I’m in! 🙌🏼Haha

Both talented kids that I’m sure they are hoping continue to take steps forward, that’s the luck part I was talking about. There is definitely potential in both players to be really effective, next level guys. Curry is still that good so there’s a chance even if it’s small.

I'd be ok with basketball in general - NBA, college, whatever - if they just did away with fouls and free throws.

I have no answers to the question of "how they might do that"...but maybe just start allowing people to tackle each other?

Penalty box?

Honestly, that's a really intriguing suggestion. At least action would continue. 5 on 4 would present a significant advantage, but still have to make the shots.

To my mind, the only question would be, how long would the penalties be?

Two minutes seems excessive in basketball. 45 seconds for a minor maybe? Perhaps two shot clocks?
