I’m coming from the exact same putter as you.  If you’re like me you have grooved an arcing stroke for the 7s.  The nearly face balanced JB is throwing me off a bit.  I have to go back to my old face balanced stroke - more of a shoulder rocking motion with higher hands to make the JB work.  It’s doing okay on the practice green.  Excited to get it on course tomorrow. 
 

A side note - the putter to my eye has about 5 degrees toe hang.  I like that vs zero to hang

Has anyone heard anything from PGA Superstore from their release of the Jailbird 380 MH on June 28th?

Can you not return the JB?  Wonder why so many are trying to sell when “it just doesn’t work” and the market is so soft.
 

Waiting for it all to cool down to possibly try it. If it came in a shorter length without me having to cut it down, I’d probably have one by now.

Me personally, as someone who listed mine today,  Its because I don't want credit with callaway. Id rather put the money elsewhere. but if no one wants it. might not have a choice

Added the thinner Bettinardi 21 inch 1.0 pt grip. Some much easier for me to play with.

added 25 grams of lead tape to get to 404..

also a solid piece of tape over the 3 dots.

Finally got to putt outside with it yesterday and play 18 this morning. Love how stable it is and the roll is extremely pure. I’m not crazy tall, 6’1” at most but grip it only an inch or two from the top, and it feels really comfortable that way. Hit a lot of good putts that rolled very nicely. Made my fair share and nearly made a whole bunch of others. This may be a long-term gamer. Probably going to cancel my order for the white hot since I love the feel and roll with the microhinge.

The paint on versa putter heads is such garbage. Chips so easily

I received mine today…I’m 5’6” and thought the 38 inch would be too long as I use a 33.25 inch putter but at least indoors it isn’t an issue…I even tried it with a outwear vest and seemed fine.

Versa in general, I just got a seven. 

 

Edit: I accidentally bumped the putter head against a wedge and paint came off. I always use a head cover but was clumsy.

tbh, just looking at the paint job, looks like it would chip very easily so not surprised.

 

I wonder if there is a protective coating that can be applied to the paint.

Anyone else who ordered both thinking about canceling the WH? I am really liking the MH and am starting to worry that I'm not going to get my money back if I sell the one I don't like based on prices dropping daily here and eBay.

 

I guess I'm just looking for a reason to justify trying the WH but my ship date has been pushed back a week and I feel like the MH feels closer to a milled face than any insert I've used. Weird because everyone says it's softer than WH, but every WH I've ever had felt softer than this to me.

I’m keeping both of mine since the WH insert has always been my “go to”.  I plan on working with both heads this off-season to figure out which one will be better for me going into the 2024 season.

I’ve only played one round with the MH.  If feels kinda clunky to me.  Would like to try the WH version at some point.  Great insert

I did the opposite, had the MH ordered, realized the only insert on a putter I’d ever liked was the WH so I canceled it before the WH was even announced.  Then ordered the WH the day it was released.

Same here. I still have the WH on order but I found a guy to buy it since i told him I was going to cancel. I have really enjoyed the MH in the little bit of time I’ve had with it.

Yeah the last WH I had was a Versa 7 earlier this year and I definitely like the MH better than that one. I just wonder with that head being so heavy would the WH be completely different than in the 7?

Could you buy a brand new jail bird under retail on the 2nd hand market and cancel you order?
